"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

In this business, there are two kinds of people. The first would be the average company who works an area, doing the same jobs repetitively. The second, a company that has traveled state to state, completed jobs in every atmosphere, and with every request imaginable. We've done small bathroom remodels, to tile-animal art on private homes in upper class neighborhoods, to creating home decor and outside masterpieces completely out of tile, stone, marble, and about 35 other materials! Contact us for a free estimate within 45 miles from our home in Horicon, WI. We also handle intermediate electrical, masonry, remodels, demo, fencing, painting, intermediate plumbing, a lot of drywall of all types, and custom designs for household items such as cabinets, porches, decks, and more! This business is run by my dad, myself, my brothers, and 3 of my best friends. We work fast and accurately so you can hurry to enjoy your new home improvements/renovations! "Ralph and his team are true professionals. We needed a full interior remodel and him and his crew were the best decision I made. I had a strict budget and needed it done as fast as possible. Ralph took this into consideration and did everything he could to take this into account while also making sure that he wasnt cutting corners. I also felt safe and secure with the team as they were always professional, respectful, and communicative. The actual job done was amazing. I needed hole repairs, plumbing, electrical, cabinet/flooring removal and installation, painting, and window replacements. They got everything done! I believe I made the best decision by hiring PDX Top Finishes."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Depending on the issue, you have a good shot at fixing a leaking sink yourself. If you have some plumbing experience or are comfortable with DIY jobs, you can clean the P trap, tighten nuts, replace washers, and replace shut-off valve stems on your own. For more complicated jobs, such as repairing a garbage disposal, calling a pro may be the way to go.

The main cause of bathroom leaks is seals and connectors that loosen or deteriorate over time, causing leaks to develop. It's important to stay on top of your bathroom materials, as toilets, showers, and sinks all have different lifespans. Toilets and faucets last between 10 and 15 years on average with regular maintenance, but different parts may have shorter lifespans than others.

If you need to repair part of your plumbing, it will cost an average of $330. The cost of plumbing repairs is influenced by several factors, including the type of drain and the specific repair needed.

Today’s standard sink stopper size is 1.5 inches. However, you can still find different sizes if your house uses an older sink stopper. Other sizes you can find in most hardware stores include one inch, 1-1/4 inch, 1-3/8 inch, 1-5/8 inch, 1-7/8 inch, 2 inch, 2-1/4 inch, 2-3/8 inch, and 2.5 inch.

The cost to fix a leaky pipe ranges depending on location—the easier the pipe is to access, the less expensive the repair will be. Because a leaky pipe under the sink is typically an exposed pipe, this is one of the least expensive repairs for a plumber to do, often costing between $150 to $300 to fix, on average.
