"Many local plumbers don't even respond to our recent plumbing needs, I assume because their too busy with larger plumbing jobs. Tim called back the same day and one of his team showed up at our convenience, cleaned out a main drain pipe in the basement and added an additional vent pipe under the upstairs sink to reduce a suspected venting issue that was causing the basement drain pipes to become overwhelmed when washing clothes."

Double-check that you have placed the flapper over the overflow tube correctly, and check the flapper chain is at the right length. If your toilet is still leaking, then you may have another problem on hand. Generally, toilet leaking is not an emergency unless the leakage is severe.
