"they did good work, took only 2 days to scrape the gravel part of the driveway to widen it and then to lay the asphalt. The only problem I had was that the materials that were scraped up, gravel/grass was left in a pile at the end of my front yard and they never came to clean it up, despite being called numerous times and being told they would come and pick it up. 2 months later and they have never shown up to clean it up so now I have to figure out how to remove it from my yared before the town starts complaining and I end up getting fined. They defiintely need to stand by what they say the will do and follow through"

Family owned and operated asphalt paving business with over 25 years experience in asphalt industry.

"they put down the asphalt in a way that blocked water from draining off the apron (brilliant). He came back once (to fetch a pile of asphalt they had left) and the guy hand raked that section to see whether it would help (it did some), said he would come back to finish the job and re-add the hardener we payed extra for. Never did, didn't answer emails sent to the address on his card. Three months later he finally responded to a text , said he would come back to finish. But of course he blew us off (surprise). Now there are puddles by the apron and further down the driveway."

The driveway apron is a technical term referring to where a private driveway meets the public street. If there is a sidewalk in front of the house, the driveway apron is typically on the opposite side of the public sidewalk from the driveway itself.

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.
