Small jobs welcome

"Initially I thought I would need a power washing job on the deck railings to prepare for new stain. Mike came out to the house to look and informed me that the deck really needed to be sanded instead. Then he offered to come out himself and do the job even though there was no power washing needed. Mike arrived as planned and did an incredible job on this tedious task. After it was complete, he then proceeded to power wash the deck anyways (lots of sanding dust). He went out of his way to exceed expectations and provide a 100% complete job. With a young family, I'm very appreciative of the time this saved me. I would highly recommend this business and will certainly continue to utilize their services in the future. Great value + great service = happy customer"

"I would totally recommend this company! Ariel went above and beyond for me when replacing my roof and gutters! Ariel would call me and let me know he was on the way or if he was running even 5 minutes behind. My house looks great and I will be using them again come spring to start replacing some of my windows. Thank you Ariel! Your crew was great, too."

"I called Fossils and spoke with Dale to check and replace the water pump on my truck, as it had overheated. Dale came and did the work while I was out of town. Dale  also noticed that the belt tensioner was about to fail as well, and replaced that. Did all the work in my garage, didn't leave a mess. Left the old parts for inspection. Many so-called 'reputable' service stations only let you see them if you ask.  Dale is very personable and attentive. The work was done perfectly! I will use him again!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Sandblasting removes old paint, rust, and grime efficiently, providing a clean surface for refinishing.
