"Cherry Tree Service did an awesome job. I had 2 60ft oak trees that need to be brought down due to rotting. Their prices were very reasonable, they cleaned up the job site, and they completed all of the work appropriately and timely. I will use them again when I need trees removed."

"The crew was professional and polite. They took down 5 trees for me. 3 of which were large black walnuts and they worked smart and efficiently. This also did a great job of cleaning up all debris. I would recommend their services."

"Juan isn't just a person with a team who can remove large trees with efficiency; he is an arborist who really has vision of what can be done with a property. I recommend him not only for tree removal but for planting and landscape work. And the value that you get for the price is just great."

"I had several overgrown shrubs in a plant bed to remove from the end of my driveway. I requested quotes from a variety of local businesses. Leo made a point to come to my house and discuss in person. Within 5 minutes we agreed on a price to cut down the shrubs, clear out some smaller bushes, grind all the stumps, add some fresh fill, seed and straw. Fantastic value for the money. He and his team did a great job, worked quickly, and cleaned up nicely when done. I would highly recommend Leo's Landscaping."

"They were very professional. Got there within the hour of when they said. There was an arborist and two guys. They knew what they were doing. They left the yard cleaner than when they started, they raked and blew the yard. They did a terrific job! The tree looks great. I would hire them again right away."

Customers say: True professional

"The crew came on time and worked steadily throughout the day to remove a very large tree from a fairly small lot. Everyone was polite and respectful. Taking down a tree this size was not a simple job, but these guys really know what they're doing! They cleaned up the area thoroughly when they were finished. Now I don't have to rake leaves this year. Thanks, guys!"

"Moved to Beaver Dam during summer of 2020 and hired Fiddlers to do snow removal. I have been very impressed with their great service. They are here quickly after a snowfall and my corner sidewalks and driveway are cleared perfectly. They also do my front porch, steps, and walkway. I can definitely recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

Firewood tends to be cheaper during the spring and summer. When the demand for firewood is lower during these seasons, many firewood companies offer lower prices and added discounts. In addition, the supply of firewood is typically higher in these months, meaning the quality is typically higher as well.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.

A serrated knife will work for cutting off small palm tree fronds, about 1 inch in diameter. For larger fronds, you will need pruning shears. You may also use a pruning saw, and if your palm tree is especially tall, an extended pole saw can help you reach the brown fronds around the trunk.
