We initially called Buckley for an opinion about a large oak tree that got struck by lightning last year.  They recommended removing the upper canopy limb that got struck and to monitor the tree's health in the future.  Pruning/trimming several large trees in the backyard was also recommended as previous home owner had neglected this for years.  Signed proposal in October and sent it in.  Got a reply letter that they were scheduled out for several weeks and asked if a "winter pruning" (between Jan 1st and Mar 1st) would be OK - I agreed via email as I was not in hurry, just asked him to notify me of schedule date so I could be home when trimming was done.  Didn't hear from them all winter until I send a follow-up email on March 2.  Work was scheduled the next day. Other than scheduling/communication issues, work was well done.

I previously used Buckley Tree Service with excellent results at my former residence in Wauwatosa and called on them again when I purchased my new residence that included many more established trees over nearly 2 acres of land many of which that suffered from various forms of and quot;deferred maintenance.and quot; In late Winter/early Spring, Buckley's certified arborist for Washington County, Joe Addis, walked the property with me to identify the trees, assess their current health and discuss what treatments/services may be advisable given their current condition. There are several unique trees on the property and others that are important to me to preserve in terms of the shade, privacy, and the and quot;curb appealand quot; that they provide. As a result, I wanted to make sure that I was dealing with experts in tree health that could accurately assess their condition and treat them properly. There are many companies out there that offer tree related services but very few have certified arborists with the training and experience to be experts in their field to help them address any issues in an efficient and effective manner.



Working together with Joe we created a plan to address all of the trees on the property that required attention and also made suggestions on new trees that fit my criteria for size, available sun and good fall color. Joe then worked with Johnson's Nursery to select and obtain the best quality trees for me. Another point I appreciate about Buckley is that they are very honest in their assessments and don't push services for trees that may not be worth treating, which was Joe's view on an older Scotch Pine that had multiple problems that made it too cost prohibitive to treat. After agreeing to the plan, Joe scheduled all of the services, kept me advised on what services would be occurring at what time and was readily available to answer any questions I had. All the work was performed when he said it would be and Joe personally supervised the crew that did the planting, pruning and cabling activities. My premises were left spotless when they were finished with their work. Joe has followed up with me since that time to ensure that I am happy with all of the services and said that he will be stopping back periodically to check on the condition of all of the trees.



Given the outstanding quality of their work, their extremely high level of service and how pleased I am with the results, I feel like the cost of their services were more than fair. While it may have been possible to obtain a slightly lower price from another company, I am absolutely convinced that the results would not have been anywhere near the same high quality nor would I have obtained the amount of information and suggestions that I did from Buckley. I view the trees on my property as an investment and it is important to me to use an expert company like Buckley that I can completely trust to help ensure that our entire family will be able to fully enjoy our trees and our yard for years to come.

I initially contacted Buckley to provide assistance to both select a site in my back yard for a tree as well as to provide some recommendations for types of trees I should consider given my overall space limitations. Ed Bodus, a certified arborist, quickly responded to my request and came out to my house to discuss the site location and what we were looking for in a tree. Ed was very professional and offered me a number of helpful suggestions of things to consider as well as warnings to be mindful of. I had Buckly select and install our desired tree from Johnson's Nursery and also had them select an install another tree for my front yard and move an existing tree. I am very happy with the results and my experience with both Ed and the installation crew was very good. Ed especially was extremely responsive and attentive to questions I had before, during and after the install process.

We agreed on a trimming plan last fall for pruning during the cold weather. When the trimming crew showed up, we talked through the plan and made a few minor changes based on my budget and priorities. The trees now look great. They left the yard cleaner than when they got here.

This year we are actually using another company and my wife is dealing with them. We had some diseased trees, such as a birch forest and a pine tree. We continued to use them because we had confidence in their expertise and they have come when they said they would. They haven’t been able to stop one thing on the birch tree in front, but some things are going to die because they are going to die. We had issues now and then with them.

Very good experience, Bill Miller is very knowledgeable and approachable. He does an annual survey of the health of my trees with recomendations.

The two men did an excellent job removing all of the deadwood and crossing branches from the two trees. They removed all fallen branches and the ground was spotless. The explained what work they had done. The trees look great, they really needed pruning.

We have had a tree fall down, and within twenty four hours they came and cleaned it up. They are wonderful. They are professional and punctual. They are easy to work with. I would recommend them.

The service men came while we were at work. The tree was nicely trimmed and the most dangerous branches were removed. The crew was so good at cleaning up that it was difficult to tell that they had even been there. It wasnt until I looked up at the tree itself and saw the significant difference in appearance that I knew they had.

We have been very happy using them as we have done repeat business with them. They take a great interest in designing the proper trees and plants for the area. The work was done very professionally.
