"Hired Tom this Spring for tree work and landscaping. Could not be more pleased with the projects . Responded to my request on Angieâ  s immediately and from there it was the best experience. He did such a professional job my 2 neighbors hired Tom. A joy to work with. Without a doubt, so pleased to have found Tom."

"These guys were amazing? They climbed and took down a 40ft. Black Walnut, and climbed and took many branches off a 40ft. Sugar Maple without damage to any plants or bushes below. They came on time, worked as a solid team, and were done including raking/clean up in 6 hours. DEFINITELY will hire again when needed."

"We had a large Ash tree and several large bushes cut down with all wood and stumps removed. Leo's was punctual, expedient -all work done within 3 hours, with lawn area cleaned up! They filled the stump holes and replaced the landscaping rock. Leo's is very professional. I highly recommend and will use their service in the future."

"Jayden and his crew did a fantastic job removing old poles (at least 10 poles, some 10-15+ foot in height and required extensive digging) and also removing dead trees along with hauling all of the debris away. I highly recommend Jay’s Lawn and Lanscape as they are professional, reliable and amazing at what they do!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.

Professionals ensure safety, prevent property damage, and handle debris efficiently.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.
