"Krispy Clean did a wonderful job cleaning my carpets and in a very timely manner. The staff was friendly and responsive. My only warning would be: When they give you a quote on the phone it may not be the same as when they arrive and measure. I have wool carpet and there was a significant difference in pricing, almost double. I had taken the day off to accommodate the carpet cleaning so I did proceed. The carpets look great, but I think I paid too much."

A deep cleaning goes beyond traditional cleaning and includes tasks like cleaning grout and baseboards, organizing closets and drawers, dusting blinds and fans, and cleaning the inside and outside of appliances. It’s a much more thorough, comprehensive cleaning that focuses on hard-to-reach areas and often forgotten about spots. 

Use a carpet brush or a broom to remove the top layer of loose dirt. For a deeper clean, spray the carpet with a thin layer of three parts water and one part white vinegar. Blot the area with a towel and let it fully dry before sweeping again with the broom.

The first thing you should do when cleaning smoke damage is open all your windows to ventilate the affected area and run an air purifier with a HEPA filter. Cover your furniture and belongings to prevent soot accumulation, and vacuum any soot that’s on the floor and other surfaces. Be sure to wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection when cleaning the affected area.

The fastest way to soak up water in carpet is to use a wet/dry shop vac to draw out as much water as possible. Afterward, apply firm pressure to towels to sop up any remaining moisture, then liberally sprinkle baking soda over the carpet and let it sit for at least an hour before vacuuming it up. You can speed up the process by opening windows, using blower fans to create airflow, and running a dehumidifier. 

In some cases, yes, it’s safe to spray hydrogen peroxide on your mattress, but the solution can damage memory foam mattresses, so you should only use it on non-memory foam mattresses. If you have a standard spring mattress, you can mix hydrogen peroxide with cold water in a 1:1 ratio and spray that on your urine-soaked mattress. If you’re cleaning pee out of a memory foam mattress, swap out the hydrogen peroxide for white distilled vinegar, or call in a professional mattress cleaner to avoid doing damage to your mattress.
