We recently started our company branching off from our families painting company that has been operating for three generations, so we have experience and expertise in many aspects of interior and exterior work. We can help make your dream a reality through painting of walls and ceilings, to trim and cabinetry. We also do exterior painting of houses, barns, metal roofs, and more! Over the cooler months, we offer painting of furniture, such as dressers and tables. Along with painting we also do interior and exterior cleaning, which can be on a biweekly/monthly schedule, spring/fall deep cleaning, one time cleaning, and post construction clean up. Painted shingles will last between four and seven years; after that point, you’ll need to paint them again and restart the process of having your roof inspected, replacing any damaged shingles, and so on. While you could conceivably select any paint finish, paintable wallpaper tends to look its best with a flat or eggshell finish. A higher gloss paint might make the texture pop more, but it can look a bit dated once the paint has dried. And don’t worry about whether a water-based latex paint will loosen the wallpaper. Paintable wallpaper has a coating that prevents this from happening, so using latex paints without applying an oil-based primer to seal things first is fine.

Painting a wall involves multiple steps. First, clean and sand the wall to prepare the surface, then tape off any areas where you don't want paint to go. Next, shake or stir the paint in the can, then pour it into a tray. 

Dip a paintbrush into the paint can so that half of the bristles are coated. Use the brush to cut in or make a frame around the edges of the wall. Then, roll the paint roller in the tray, ensuring that it is evenly covered in paint. Roll the paint onto the wall in an "M" or "W" formation, making sure the paint is applied evenly.

You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.

Most spray paint is fully dry after 24 hours, but knowing when the spray paint is dry depends on the type of dry paint criteria. Surface dry is a surface that’s dry enough for you to apply another coat of paint. Touch dryness is a little dryer than surface dryness and will feel dry if you gently touch it, but it’s really wet underneath the initial touch. Hard dry feels fully dry but can dent or smudge upon extra pressure. Thoroughly dry paint is completely dry.
