"went very well.  We had previously paid another local heating and air conditioning company to do a fall inspection.  At that timie this "other" company told me that there were problems with the heat exchanger and that the unit was in immediate need of replacement.  In fact the service technician went so far as to shut off our furnace.   I called Professional for a 2nd opinion and the technician informed us that yes, our furnace was old, but that this furnace had so many safety measures that the unit would just shut itself off rather than cause a fire or a carbon monoxide leak.  He assured us that this furnace was fine to operate.

"I spoke with the owner at 2:30 in the afternoon and he was here for an estimate at 5pm. We booked an appointment for a new furnace that day. We had problems with the old furnace and the owner worked on it, attempting to replicate the problem. A Tech was sent out the next morning (free of charge) to get us through until the new furnace was installed 6 days later. Everyone we dealt with was VERY knowledgeable, explained each step to us, were expedient and very thorough. Pricing was excellent. This company will be the only company we call for ANY HVAC work. "The man who came to my house to describe the furnaces and help determine which one I wanted could not have been more wonderful. He was helpful and efficient. We had agreed on a week when the work would be done. The installers called and wanted to come a week earlier. I okayed it, but it wasn't the best day for me. They were nice and efficient. The new furnace appears to be exactly what I wanted. However, the new thermostat control was a different size and shape from the original one and they didn't patch the holes or repaint the edges--not a big deal but when I got a security system a few weeks ago, they did do all that finishing."
