Small jobs welcome

"Ryan is great to work with. He treats your project like he would his own home! He installed gutter guards, added an outdoor outlet, repaired vinyl siding, hung drapery rods.., It's wonderful to have a resource like him, he can do all the smaller jobs that I don't have the skills / knowledge to do! I also referred him to a neighbor across the street for a much larger remodeling job. My neighbor was very pleased with Ryan and the work he did! I would highly recommend him!!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

A chimney requires both a cover and a cap, but these parts often get confused with one another. A chimney cover seals the top of the chimney around the flue pipe to prevent water from entering the chimney. A chimney cap is a piece that sits above the flue to prevent animals, debris, and water from entering the flue.

Yes, a chimney damper is necessary. It controls airflow in and out of your fireplace, helping to retain heat when closed and allowing smoke to escape when open. Without a damper, your home could lose warmth during cold months, leading to higher energy bills. It also helps prevent downdrafts and keeps animals or debris from entering the chimney. In short, it’s essential for efficiency and safety.

As with any smoking appliance, a smoking oven is a concerning fire risk. It also negatively impacts your indoor air quality, which can put vulnerable people at risk of breathing problems. A dirty oven can catch fire if you don’t stay on top of regular maintenance, so remember to check your oven for signs that it’s time for a cleaning and remove buildup every three months to stay on the safe side.

Home insurance prices depend on where you live and the individual insurance company's policies. Some insurers charge a flat fee for fireplaces or wood-burning stoves, which is often a few hundred dollars per year. Other insurers base this fee on a percentage of your annual premium. You may want to check your current or prospective policy before beginning this project.

Homeowners insurance can be voided in several scenarios. That can include making too many claims in a short period of time, leaving a home vacant for an extended period of time, renting out a home or room illegally, using a home as a business illegally, and any kind of criminal activity connected to the home.
