  • Mad City Windows & Baths

My wife and I contracted with Mad City this past summer to update an old and ugly bath in our children’s bathroom. We are incredibly happy with the results; it looks so much more modern and is way more functional than our previous tub. While other contractors that we looked at essentially put just a vinyl “shell” over the old tub, Mad City actually did a full tear-out and even replaced the wood and plumbing behind the old tub, which had all seen much better days. The new tub feels much more stable than the old one, and I also love that the surround goes all the way to the ceiling. To be clear, Mad City is not the cheapest option out there. We had consultations with other companies that offered lower prices. However, I’m also a big believer that you get what you pay for, and Mad City provided a quick and professional install that sparks joy with us. In fact, we also added 4 new windows to our order with them because we were so impressed with their competent and skilled contractors. One final note: we *did* experience an issue with our new shower head exhibiting a loud “whine” after install, but Mad City immediately rectified the situation and sent out a serviceman the next day to replace it free of charge. I sincerely can’t speak highly enough about the spectacular level of service that they provide

Happy Home Contracting did a full remodel in half of our basement. The job went smooth from start to finish. They were professional and respectful of our needs, as we were living in the house as they were doing their work.

I have used Scott since I purchased my home back in 2006. He is always my first and only call for all of my plumbing needs over the past 16 years. I called him this morning when my sump pump wasn't working and he said he could be here within the hour and he was. He quickly and promptly installed the new one which he already had with him. If you use E and A plumbing you won't be disappointed

Very good plumber. Enthusiastic, honest, good price. I was very happy. I think you'd be pleased to have him (Scott) do your needed work. He came out to review the problem and try to figure out what it would take. It was really a good analysis on his part to figure this out without charging me for the consult. I don't think either of us had any guarantee his fix would work, but it did. It is so nice to meet someone like this - honestly

Initial project solved my problem much more easily and affordably than an earlier plumbing quote. They communicate well with you about your issue, arrive promptly and get the job done. Prices are straightforward and reasonable.

They communicated with us in a timely way and arrived when they said they would, worked efficiently, and finished early. They talked with us throughout the project to make sure we would be happy with the final result and we are very pleased with the two showers we had replaced. They look great and work very well for us

Excellent service! He went above and beyond by noticing our faucet was leaking and provided us with the serial number and phone number for Kohler to get a replacement part.

  • Watters Plumbing

The plumber came when he said he would and did a good job fixing my toilet and faucet. The cost of the toilet repair was reasonable, but I was surprised how much the faucet leak cost. It was $170 to replace two valve cartridges, which took about 15 minutes total. I thought that was high. But at least the faucet is fixed now and the job got done promptly

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
