"My experience with Clog Pro LLC was excellent. I received same day service for what I thought was a partially clogged toilet. David provided great communication (letting me know when to expect his arrival), straightforward information, and answered my questions. After doing all he could, David went above and beyond to get me an appointment for the next morning with another company as the clog ended up being a symptom of broken sewage pipes. He also let me know I could call him if I had any concerns as resolving the issue moved into the next phase. I definitely recommend Clog Pro LLC and will use them again. I appreciate the excellent service and am grateful for David's humanity."

Customers say: True professional

"I needed someone to repair a few leaky toilets and also replace a garbage disposal at my rental property. I submitted a request for a plumber on Angies list and found John. He was prompt in contacting me to set up an appointment and was able to come out the next day. He was thorough when explaining the work that needed to be done and gave me a straight forward estimate of the cost prior to starting the work. Great work, fairly priced, timely, and clean. Would highly recommend!"

"I was very pleased with the two men that cleaned out my dryer vent from the back of the dryer all the way through the outside. They even cleaned out the dryer itself and all the lint that was around the outside of the dryer."

"Called Eric, he called back within a couple of hours. Came over to my house that evening with a new hot water heater per my requested specs.. Got it installed in about 2 hours. He also rerouted my gas pipes to the new hot water heater to meet code. He also explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. I will call Gans Plumbing for any future plumbing needs."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

Yes, a bathroom remodel is a worthwhile home improvement project that typically adds value to your home, offering a return on investment (ROI) between 60% and 70%. Potential buyers look closely at bathrooms and kitchens, as these are often the most expensive rooms to renovate. A modern, updated bathroom is more appealing and assures buyers that the plumbing, fixtures, and flooring have a long, useful life ahead. Beyond the financial return, a remodel can also greatly increase your day-to-day satisfaction by creating a more inviting, spa-like space. Even a basic refresh with new paint and accessories can make a significant difference.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.
