John has been in the biz a long time and he's figured out how to be fair while producing a great product. Starting off with the initial bid, he brought all of his subs to our house so they could make an accurate judgment about what the overall project would cost. Some other outfits will send one bidder, and then you might find out that the quote isn't as accurate as you'd hope. The transparency financially was one of our favorite parts of the process. Also, each of his subs are exceptional. I never had to worry if they'd show up to get the job done. They are all very talented and it was clear that it wasn't their first rodeo. "I am grateful beyond words for my beautiful new front porch! Meri's design honored the original 1932 bungalow character while refreshing it with a charming contemporary look. She went above and beyond to prepare several design options each with varying budget implications. For the final phase, Jay and his Five Star team with nearly surgical precision completed the finishing exterior paint. "It went really well. Alberto and Ajara are extremely responsive. You always run into problems with remodels. It’s all about how you handle them and Alberto was awesome. Every time something came up he called or met us at the house and we talked through the different solutions. Alberto then promptly executed the solution we agreed upon. One of the best things that KBS did was give us a calendar of events with a timeline. It’s one thing to give a timeline and it’s another thing to stick to it. They started and finished on the given dates. Yeah it took working a couple saturdays to stay on track but that didn’t bother us. They got our project done in a month and were willing to work within our budget.

"I contracted with Scullion Builders to renovate both of the bathrooms (1/2 bath and full bath) in my condo. I was very impressed with the quality of the work (no shortcuts were taken in materials or labor), which is important to me because I don't want to worry about having issues down the road with water leaks, etc. I also thought Shaun was incredibly knowledgeable about building and remodeling. He was patient in answering my questions and helping me to understand the process. He also offered me suggestions and ideas about how to make more cost effective choices in materials. The renovation was fast and pretty nonintrusive, and the cost was very reasonable for the work. Overall, I was very pleased with the end product and with Scullion Builders.
