Amazingly well! As a first time homebuyer, I was nervous about the inspection process. Jon made me feel comfortable and confident. He arrived early and was professional, polite, and responsive. Jon's report was thorough and easy to read. I have already recommended Jon to several of my friends and they have used him, too. You will not be disappointed.

Jon was awesome and went above and beyond to make sure he saw as much as possible with the home we wanted to buy. He was honest and unbiased, not telling us one way or another to purchase. He called the homeowner to set up the radon test at her convenience. He took care of everything and was able to schedule the inspection at a good day and time for us. He was extremely informative and took time to answer all our questions about what he saw. His report was excellent, easy to read with lots of pictures. He also gave us a book of homeowner checklists and how to care for a home. We did not end up buying the house because it had too many issues the homeowner was unwilling to fix, glad we had the inspection!

Jon was both professional and personable. He did a thorough inspection of the home, and not only answered all my questions but also gave me additional information on things I might consider doing to improve home maintenance. The inspection report was detailed and included pictures of all areas that needed attention as well as photos of utility shut off locations, which I really appreciate. I did have one follow up question which Jon answered promptly.

Following the full inspection, Jon had a detailed list of issues which needed to be corrected or addressed on this particular condo. And while Jon does not tell the customer if they should go ahead and buy, or walk away from the property, I did eventually decide to walk away from the sale, perhaps saving me many thousands of dollars, as well as lots of stress and headache.  Thanks to Jon for his professional demeanor, expertise in his field, and for giving me the knowledge I needed to make a final determination on this condo.  I will use the information I learned from Jon to help in my search for the next property, and plan to hire him again.  This guy knows what he's doing and will be helpful to both the novice and experienced home buyer.  Thanks again, Jon!

Jon was very thorough and professional, the time quote he had given (3.5 to 4 hours) for the square footage of the location was right on.There were various things he pointed out that we would not have noticed and this turned out to be very helpful. As we are looking at a ranch style home he was able to go on the roof to check it out more closely (this is not required of home inspectors). Jon was able to tell us about maintenance throughout the home as well as about changes that would make the home up to code. His knowledge was very much appreciated!

Accredited home was great - prompt, professional, clearly knowledgable about their profession.   The report generated was super quick and was very user friendly.  The top issues were highlighted so it was easier to know which ones were more important than others, as it can be overwhelming with the number of things an inspector finds (that is their job after all).    I would definitely recommend Accredited.  Only reason they didn't receive an overall 'A' is that he did not get up on the roof to inspect it closely, even though I asked for that since there were some concerns about age of the roof.   To be fair, it was clear in Accredited's scope of services that they don't go up on roofs, but I have hired other inspectors that do go up on a roof where flashing and vents can be better inspected, so I think it is a service that is preferable.   This minor piece aside, I can say that I was quite satisfied.

Jon was prompt, professional, and thorough. The items were not of a nature to amend the offer, but it provided an exceptional punch-list of things that need some prompt attention.

Jon was very thorough. The inspection took about three hours. We went around with him during the inspection and he explained clearly what he was looking for, and what he found. He took a lot of electronic notes and pictures. That same evening he sent over a report detailing the entire inspection with the photos. He also gave us some great tips for maintaining our home nd a book with instructions for maintaining the house and major appliances. The radon test was complete a few days later. Jon was very professional and friendly.

John was complete, thorough, professional.  I felt like I could trust his input to help me decide what was typical wear and tear for a home of this age, and what was unexpected.
Whenever I had a question following the inspection, John returned my phone call the same day, usually within 4 hours.
I am very pleased with the quality of the report he furnished as well, and have referred to it to help me make decisions about next steps for home improvement.

Jon Weiss is excellent. The only reason he didn't get all A's from me is also one reason he is excellent. Something went amiss in his scheduling routine and he got the date wrong. Clearly, this was/is a rare occurrence. I was at the home waiting, and called him. Not only did he hustle over immediately, but the inspection -- which is thorough, professional, honest -- didn't suffer one iota AND he gave me a discount to make up for the inconvenience. His report is clear, his follow-up immediate, his response to my questions thorough and to the point, both while I was trailing after him taking notes and in email follow-ups. He also did a radon check, leaving device for two days, and that report (though disappointing!) was and is valuable. You do not want to live with that gas if you can help it, and now we know.

The inspector found lots of problems which were photographed and noted in the best looking report I have ever seen.  This document would be a tremendous asset for anyone making a purchase decision, and for the future homeowner who can address the issues highlighted in the inspection. 
The inspector was impressive in his attention to detail, ammenable nature and cleanliness.  He wore booties inside the house - to avoid tracking dirt around.
He also provided a running commentary on what he was doing and how he was doing it which I found super informative and he took his time to make sure he examined every nook and cranny.

Jon was fantastic: professional, thorough, and knowledgeable about all areas of the house. He provided expert guidance and advice about the status of the house and what fixes would be needed prior to closing as well as during the first year of ownership. We've been living in the house for over half a year now and can happily report that there have been zero surprises. We would absolutely recommend Jon for any house inspection and hope he's still available if we decide to buy a new house sometime in the future.

Very friendly and professional job.  If you watch the show "Holmes Inspection" and worry that you'll be victim to shady inspectors, hire this company.  He noticed everything from uneven stair heights to curled shingles and light fixture in addition to all of the major concerns ( electrical, heating, plumbing).  Very thorough job!

Jon is a fantastic inspector.  He is extremely thorough and very professional.  He doesn't just forget about the home when he's done.  He actually wrote an addendum to his report to address an issue with the home the next day because it bothered him that evening and night.  We got money off the sale price of our home because of his thorough, complete and concise inspection report.  I highly recommend him if you are purchasing a home.

This is actually the second time I've used Jon for a home inspection, and in both instances I've been very pleased.  He does a very thorough inspection and makes sure to note things that are useful to homeowners in addition to typical inspection notes.  For example, he'll remind you when you should open/close air vents, how often to re-caulk, how often to fill in dirt around your foundation, etc.  He even provides a homeowners manual with tips like that as well as guidance on house maintenance.  He's very helpful, very punctual, and I was able to schedule him for a visit in less than a week.  I now feel much more confident going into our final walkthrough that all potential concerns have been noted.

Given the historic nature of our new home (1848...pre-civil war), we wanted someone with experience with historic structures. Knowing that he spent several years working in historic Mineral Point as well as at the state level for Wisconsin Main Street, we knew he was the perfect choice. Not only did he arrive right on time, but we were a couple minutes late and he already started working before we got there. He was extremely thorough, allowing us to follow him around the house so he could talk things through with us at every turn. He was professional and took the time to educate us on various elements that were of concern or unique to our historic home. He took part of his weekend to install the radon testing equipment days before the inspection so it was ready when we got there. He didn't just give us the results of the test, but he explained the process and what the numbers meant. We had the finished report within a day or two, which was important to us and the mortgage process. We would recommend Jon for any home inspection, especially for historic homes.
