"The boys came out after I spread the sand on a new lawn area of my property. Being very sandy with no topsoil, plain grass seed without any cover would’ve been all for nothing. They explained the benefits of hydro seeding so I took a shot at it. Very surprised how fast it came up and I was mowing after six weeks. Asphalt and tarmac are not the same thing. Traditional tarmac, short for tarmacadam, uses tar as a binder to hold crushed stone together. Plus, paving over a cracked driveway only extends the lifetime by about 10 years, whereas replacing it would start the clock over completely to give you up to 30 years.

The best tool to cut pavers is a hammer and chisel. These tools are best for inexperienced DIYers, as they're affordable and don't require special skills. If you're comfortable using power tools, an angle grinder or a circular saw with a masonry cutting wheel will make quick work of your paver cutting project.

Asphalt is not the same thing as blacktop. Blacktop is a type of asphalt, but contains less bitumen, making it less durable than asphalt. Asphalt is a better option for major highways, streets, and driveways, while blacktop is more suitable to playgrounds.
