"I have to agree with the other two reviews that gives this company a five star rating. I have had companies come in before to fill in the cracks and seal the driveway, but never had any company so thorough. They started by trimming the edges back, then cleaning the surface multiple times, killing the weeds that were coming up through the cracks, both with chemical and burning. They put hot mix in all the cracks, some of them almost an inch wide. They filled the cracks in again with hot mix. They cleaned the surface again and sprayed the coating on it. They took their time and did it right. It looks amazing. I wish I would've taken a picture before and after."

"Musson was very professional, prompt, and exceeded my expectations! I couldn't be happier with the job they did from start to finish. They gave me an accurate estimate, provided excellent suggestions and ideas, and couldn't have been nicer throughout the entire transaction. I'm already planning to hire them back next year for additional improvements! Top notch company!"

"The roofers were extremely professional and nice. They found that the previous roofers did not put flashing around the skylights. All of the wood around them was rotten. They had to take all six skylights out to replace the wood. They did it with minimal dust inside. They took the time to put extra ice and snow barriers around the skylights. They went above and beyond. I would recommend Brian and his crew to anyone. Todd from Hip and Ridge Construction is friendly, professional and honest."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, hardscaping is generally a great investment that can increase your home's value. Hardscape features improve your yard's functionality, safety, and aesthetics, which boosts curb appeal and overall property value. According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Landscape Professionals, hardscape upgrades are one of the top four outdoor projects that add value to a property for resale, along with landscape upgrades, landscape management, and lawn care services. While most buyers see value in these features, some may be concerned about potential increases in property taxes or the cost to alter them later. However, the return on investment is typically excellent. For best results, hardscaping should be combined with professional landscaping, and it's wise to hire a reliable contractor for installation.

Compared to options like concrete, asphalt, and pavers, resin driveways are far more flexible. As a result, they are more durable against chipping and cracking. Their bonded surface allows them to withstand extreme cold and heat without succumbing to the warping or cracking caused by freeze-thaw cycles. In addition, resin driveways are easy to clean and maintain.

Generally speaking, tiles are for indoor use, while pavers are for outdoor use. The main difference between travertine tiles and pavers is their thickness. Tiles are around 1/2 inch thick, and pavers are 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches thick.

Pavers are more rugged and can handle different weather. The extra thickness on pavers also makes them ideal for high-traffic areas.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

Yes, it is possible to pave over an existing driveway, but whether it's the right choice depends on several factors. If the underlying structure of your current driveway is still strong, concrete or asphalt resurfacing can be a cost-effective way to prolong its life. However, if your driveway has significant issues like potholes, deep cracks, or other inconsistencies, it is best to remove the old driveway and start from scratch. Key factors to consider include the current driveway's condition, the compatibility of the new material, the added thickness and height, and the necessary surface preparation.
