"Do not hire unless you get everything in writing of what he will do & what is charged. Quoted me $3000 and was ok w/payments since I did not budget for the project. It then went up to $6500 which was ok but still a stretch. I gave him a down payment of $3500 on 5/3 & did not see him again until 5/25. He said he would not do anything till he got the rest of the $ and I told him with his track record of getting $ and not doing anything I did not feel comfortable with that unless he put in writing the agreed upon project and cost. He refused to put it into writing what we agreed on. He finally came out & did 1 thing (patch of grass), DID NOT do gutters, stump removal, new mulch (took rubber mulch that was new so I lost $800). I wanted a refund to replace the mulch. He is now demanding the rest of the money. Told him if he finished the project as agreed I would pay the rest of the money in writing. He sent me this very mean text. He has done this before to others."

I‘d always heard you should measure twice and cut once; Chris checked measurements and level at least three times with each task! The work was done quickly, neatly and professionally, with Chris explaining the work and his reasoning, as he went along. Most importantly, for a woman who lives alone, I felt comfortable and safe while Chris and his son were in my home. "They came when they said they would. We paid when he said it was almost done and they would finish. When we looked at the work, it was terrible. Uneven. Had not been rolled, seeding was sparce, Build-up around cement slab was barely done and very uneven. We have called several times. Once he brought in more dirt, but it looked like just a lot of burned twigs. Not fill. He has not returned our calls. We will be taking him to small claims court very soon."
