"The guys that showed up were actually quite nice. They looked at the project, one of the guys showed some concern (about what I don't know) He said he was going to make a phonecall, and when he came back from the truck he said that they couldn't do the job. He said I needed to contact the company --"

"We had a small leak that only happened in severe rainstorms. Instead of diagnosing this problem the salesperson wa ted to sell us their complete system. They painted a picture of a poorly constructed basement with many problems. We resisted but finally agreed this was s mistake, because the only problem found after tearing up our basement was a dead sump pump and maybe extra weep holes could have been put in the crock. The original basement drainage system was correctly installed to code. Now our perfect basement floor has permanent scars and we are still fighting the concrete dust leftover from the project. The workers also damaged our vinyl siding and stained it with some type of solvent when cleaning areas that were marred during work. They are probably solve severe basement problems, but we were definitely “oversold”. We made a regrettable error in trusting their expertise."

Renew Basement Foundation LLC is a family owned & operated basement repair specialist, serving the Milwaukee and surrounding areas. Our main focus is the base of your home, (your basement foundation). Services range from waterproofing basements, basement wall repairs, egress windows, grading concrete, excavating, and more! "My basement had wall crack steps, horizontal cracks, bowing issues along with moisture issues. Water would come in the basement regularly. Everything was taken care of by RENEW about 6-7 years ago. They replaced some of the foundation bricks, installed a drainage system, placed reinforcement rods along the walls and installed a sump pump. RENEW also helped me with additional request as the project progressed (removing personal items, etc). On the exterior they added and pitched dirt along with placing decorative rocks. I’m writing this 6-7 years later so I’m sure I’ve left a few things out. Since having the work done, my basement has been dry. THERE IS NO WATER/MOISTURE PROBLEMS AT ALL! RENEW is a family business that takes pride in their work. They are dependable, personable, reasonable with cost and most of all knowledgeable. Most reviews are done relatively close to when the work is performed. My review is years later which should tell anyone reading this, they do excellent work at a reasonable price."

A drain tile test can be performed on any leaking basement. If you are a homeowner or buying or selling a home and a Realtor, Foundation Consultant or a Home Inspector noticed the signs of your basement leaking you need to call Reed’s Independent Drain Tile Test LLC. (414-499-4450) I perform a drain tile test on the inside and outside of your home. We open up holes in your basement floor to visually inspect your inside drain tile. We will run water through the system to see where the water flows, and check for any blockages. We drill a hole in the core of the basement block by inspection holes to see if water comes out, or if there are any debris in the block. I replace the drain tile and stone that I have taken out and patch the basement floor back with cement. I will test the outside drain tile with a water-spud if possible. I will give you a written report at the end of the test stating the condition of your drain tile and the repair that is needed. You can then call a contractor and show them the report so they know the condition of the drain tile. I am not a contractor so I do not do any repairs.

"Based on recommendations we used Reeds to assess some water issues in our basement. We were extremely satisfied with their work, and even more importantly their honesty and integrity. They were thorough, informative, and diligent in their work. We now much better understand the basement drainage system, what our issue is, and how to have it addressed so that our contractor can do just what needs to be done and nothing more. Money very well spent on a company that is honest, experienced, and friendly. Fully recommend."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A handyperson with basic plumbing experience can install a bathroom faucet, like the kind of skills you’d need to replace a P-trap or swap out a showerhead. They may not have deep knowledge of local plumbing code, though. If your faucet installation requires work on the pipes behind the wall or under the floor, hire a licensed plumber with the necessary training and licensing.

Water pressure for residential homes falls between 40 and 60 pounds per square inch (PSI). This range works well for everyday water use in most households. And while some homes have water pressure higher than 60 psi, once the pressure reaches 80 psi or more, it can lead to increased wear and tear on your plumbing system.

No, all faucets are not compatible with all sinks. Because your countertops and your sink likely have a set number of holes already built in, you’ll need to find a faucet with the same amount of holes to work with your existing sink.

DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and specialized equipment requirements. Hire professionals for effective clearing.

There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.
