"Terry came to the rescue again! Recent projects he has handled for us inclide: 1. A deck update. Some boards were in need of replacing 2. A complete bathroom remodel. He took a jack and jill bathroom and turned it into a beautiful handicap accessible bathroom and a powder room. 3. Total roof replacement, code compliant. He even installed a new metal roof. 4. Various electrical projects. Certain outlets needed updating, as well as some wiring issues. 5. Using his connections to reputable tradesman with other skills. Terry either fixes it himself or uses his friends and connections to find other tradesman who can get the job done. Fir example, he used a tile man on the bathroom project."

Due to the nature/age of our cabinets, getting the hidden hinges installed involved a bit of creativity, but Adam found the solution and everything looks great. Adam and team were extremely responsive and punctual, and overall they did a great and prompt job. It was clear that they are very careful and meticulous with their work, which we appreciated. Deck skirting shouldn’t touch the ground, especially if you have a wood deck, which is vulnerable to moisture. Ideally, you should leave at least 3/4 of an inch of space between the deck skirting and the ground for more ventilation. Pros also recommend that you incorporate about 1 square foot of space for ventilation for the underside of the deck to every 150 square feet of decking. Proper ventilation prevents mold growth and rot that can damage your deck.

Both deck footings and deck posts help prop up your deck. However, footings are the bottommost parts of a deck that touch the ground. They’re usually made of concrete. Posts are pieces of wood that attach to the top of the footings with brackets. They run upwards and connect to the underside of your deck to support its weight.

Cutting the boards directly is one of the fastest ways to remove deck boards with hidden fasteners. Mark two parallel lines that are one-third of the total measurement on both ends and cut out the centerpiece. Then, remove the end of the board that doesn’t have a fastener. Finally, pry open the fastened side and pull it up to pop out the screw or access the fastener. This also allows you to salvage portions of boards for other projects.
