Frazier's Flooring Outlet is a family-owned flooring store based out of Dodgeville, WI. We opened up in early 2024 and we haven't taken a day off since! The owner, Steve Frazier, has been selling and installing flooring all around Wisconsin for over 25 years.

He even coordinated with the plumber so I didn't have to also deal with that. They estimated the job would take 1-2 weeks and it was done in a week and half. What I did get was wrong cuts, seam where no seam was suppose to be and a broken sink that they broke that took two months to be replace. After four month from the install date the job still is not fixed right."

"We contracted Empire for new carpeting throughout the house and removal of 650 ft of ceramic tile tile and installation of LVT. ALso included was the removal and replacement of sub-floor if needed. The tile removal was performed with no protective covering, tenting or venting. This resulted in the entire 2300 sq ft house covered in ceramic dust. The air was unbreathable and we forced to spend the noght in a hotel until a cleaning crew came in to clean the house. The sub-floor did not need to be touched, which we had paid $1200. When the carpet was installed we realizes the they had left out a room in the contract. When we asked to have the carpet adjusted with the overcharge hey refused. The LVT installation was awlful. Lumpy, bumpy tiles, missing grout, baseboards covered in grout. Empire said they would send an inspector out.They called at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning saying they would arrive between 2 and 4. Needless to say they never showed. They have repeatedly made appts and end up cancelling. All we have are empty promises a bumpy floor. We are out $8500 and now have to delay listing our home."

Yes, cracked tiles allow water to seep through the substrate or subfloor, leading to mold and mildew growth. It can also cause severe structural damage. At the very least, water damage can cause your tile to lift from the substrate, meaning one cracked tile can lead to several cracked tiles. It’s a good idea to waterproof tile in areas with direct water exposure or lots of moisture.

Slate floors don’t need much maintenance, but they should be sealed once per year. Otherwise, they can absorb liquids and moisture, which may weaken them and lead to stains. It’s also best to sweep slate floors daily, mop with a pH-neutral floor cleaner weekly, clean up any spills as quickly as possible, and use rugs or mats in high-traffic areas.

Granite is heavier than quartz, since it has a higher density. Quartz is made up of engineered stone, which is why it tends to weigh less than granite. Most granite countertops are ¾-inch thick and weigh about 13 pounds per square foot.

It is possible to fix loose floor tiles without removing them, providing they aren't cracked. Drill a hole in the grout next to the loose tile. The hole should be deep enough for adhesive to seep under the tile. Squeeze the adhesive or epoxy into the hole and place a heavy object on top, wiping off any excess with a damp towel.

The extent of the damage will determine whether a broken tile can be fixed without replacing it. For example, epoxy and paint can repair small cracks or chips without replacing the tile. This also assumes that there are no underlying problems, like water damage.
