There are sections of my driveway where nearly all of the seal coating came off in less than 9 months, so I am going to have to re-do the job myself. This is not what I had in mind when I paid over $1,100 (a fair price, if it would have lasted longer). I understand that the work isn't covered anymore, as I didn't report it until the thaw revealed so much was missing, and I'm not upset with Merit or their staff. Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Mudjacking normally takes between one to three days to dry completely. The larger the project area, the more time it will take to dry. You should not walk on the concrete or place furniture or vehicles on the lifted concrete until it’s completely cured, which a pro can help determine. If you’re polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can take just a few minutes to dry, but wait an hour to be sure.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance.
