"Beware of Feldco. Misleading Sales Tactics. We had windows, siding, gutters, facet, soffiting, and a back door and storm door installed. Salesman stated two payments. 50% down to start the job and remaining due at completion and satisfaction of the jobs. They wanted payment after each job. Workers left two windows unframed with pine shims and spray foam insulation sticking out. Back door lock was installed crooked, bottom weather stripping was ripped up, and worker destroyed my original oak trim around the door and installed white trim in place of it. Siding crew didnt speak english and I came home to them installing insulation board over my existing siding instead of taking old siding off. They were caught not replacing old rotted facet boards and tried installing over rotted out wood. Vinyl trim around the windows was not even. They had to come out three times to caulk the same window. Workers put up new gutters with large black scrape on the front. Sales presentation is recorded, but will not provide a copy of audio to customer."

Two of the biggest mistakes with drywalling are not measuring (and therefore buying the wrong amount of drywall) and trying to install drywall yourself. A sheet of drywall can weigh around 50 pounds, so it can be difficult to install without a pro or at least some experienced friends willing to help with a DIY installation. Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor or not depends on the type. Plastic expansion anchors and plastic self-drilling anchors, which expand once screwed into the wall, are single-use only. You can't straighten and reuse them after removing them from the wall.

Metal toggle bolts can be reused, provided you can successfully remove the toggle from behind the wall. Once you remove the bolt, the toggle often falls down and can be difficult to retrieve without removing the drywall.

Yes, it is possible to DIY install drywall, but it is a deceptively complicated process that can be quite frustrating if you don’t have experience. Prepare to cut and screw drywall, leave the proper gap distance for any seams, never leave the end of a piece of drywall hanging off of a stud, and cut out around electrical boxes and switches. Plus, getting the drywall to look good is challenging, especially when taping and spackling. You should leave a gap between drywall sheets because they naturally expand and contract along with the building framing as temperature and humidity change.
