"We meet with Joe at our home in late summer and discussed our drainage concerts for the yard’s drainage. We came up with a plan for the yard. It was installed last fall. With this last big snowstorm and with the water runoff it was handled by the drainage system and drained the yard very well and solved the problem."

"Al was quick to replay for my request for a reasonable estimate. He is very knowledgeable and saw immediately what needed to be done to prevent water seeping into my basement. French drain and regrade were complete in 2 days. He was also pleasant and personable--especially since I wasn't sure of the final, overall landscape look and changed my mind several times. Thanks Al and crew."

"After being let down numerous times by a company that kept promising to start a project for 3 weeks, I reached out to Total Ground Solutions. It was a risk, but as soon as I talked with Cooper, I felt very comfortable. He came to see the area, made some excellent suggestions, and I knew he was a great fit. He was great at communicating, easy to work with and did everything when promised and above expectations. He did an amazing job and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!!"

"Our roof is 20 years old and showing some staining and a few edges curling but otherwise not leaking a pretty solid. Ben was honest with us and said we could get some good years out of the roof, yet. We had him do some minor gutter. He worked right alongside his crew and made sure they did thorough work.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Professionals use snakes, hydrojetting, or chemical cleaners to clear blockages effectively without damaging pipes.

Professional plumbers use many high-grade chemicals to unclog drains. Many use hydrochloric acid, known as muriatic acid, when it comes to extreme blockages.

Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.

The cost to unclog a drain varies based on the location and severity of the clog. For simple clogs within your home, such as in a sink, toilet, or shower, hiring a plumber typically costs between $110 and $350, with an average of around $200. Snaking a toilet or sink usually costs between $110 and $275, while a bathtub or shower clog costs about $225.

For a more serious clog in the main sewer line, the cost is higher. Clearing a main line clog generally costs between $200 and $600, with an average of about $380. However, prices can range from as low as $100 for snaking a minor clog to over $1,600, particularly if advanced methods like video inspection and hydrojetting are needed for a large or hard-to-reach blockage. Some severe main line clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear depending on factors like the cause of the clog, its distance from an accessible cleanout, and whether the pipe is located beneath an occupied space (e.g., in an apartment building). You may be able to save money on minor clogs by using a drain snake or bladder yourself.

A clogged air gap can cause a dishwasher not to drain. There are, however, other potential issues that can lead to improper drainage. For example, if you have attached the air gap to a garbage disposal and forgotten to remove the knockout plug, wastewater may backflow into the dishwasher. Check that the air gap is installed properly, and then look for clogs in the air gap and dishwasher filters.
