"I highly recommend Everdry. They installed a waterproofing system a few years ago that worked great. Recently, due to an extremely wet spring, water appeared in a different section of the basement. They came out and did that section at no cost to me. Exceptional customer service, Cody was great, and a company that stands behind their promise."

"After getting recommendations and checking Angie's list, I called Rich Reimer of Custom Craft Environmental. Rich was very cooperative and came almost right away. He outlined what he was going to do and after we agreed, he and his crew immediately started to go to work. After vacuuming up as much of the water as possible, they set up huge dehumidifiers and 25 fans to finish the drying. They also sprayed chemicals to prevent mold and to disinfect the flooring; this they did several times during the next days. We had a lot of stuff in our basement and there was a lot to move up off the floor. Rich and his men were extremely helpful and careful with our belongings and never once did they complain about the amount of things they had to move. Rich came back numerous times during the drying out process to check on the progress and to move furniture and fans around for better coverage - for that care we were most grateful. When things were finally dry, we had Steve, one of Rich's crew, shampoo our carpet and he did a great job in spite of all the challenges caused by having to move a lot of furniture, etc. All in all, Custom Craft did an excellent job and it was a pleasure to work with Rich and his crew."

"

I initially had a poor interaction with Mike that did not result in solving the above plumbing problem above. However, he has since connected with me and resolved the issue fairly.  He did an excellent job the first time I hired him (successfully unclogging a tub drain). Even though the second time we hired him was not successful (and we had to hire a second plumber to resolve the problem) we will use him in the future because he reached out to resolve our concerns in a professional manner.

In this business, there are two kinds of people. The first would be the average company who works an area, doing the same jobs repetitively. The second, a company that has traveled state to state, completed jobs in every atmosphere, and with every request imaginable. We've done small bathroom remodels, to tile-animal art on private homes in upper class neighborhoods, to creating home decor and outside masterpieces completely out of tile, stone, marble, and about 35 other materials! Contact us for a free estimate within 45 miles from our home in Horicon, WI. We also handle intermediate electrical, masonry, remodels, demo, fencing, painting, intermediate plumbing, a lot of drywall of all types, and custom designs for household items such as cabinets, porches, decks, and more! This business is run by my dad, myself, my brothers, and 3 of my best friends. We work fast and accurately so you can hurry to enjoy your new home improvements/renovations! Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, many people choose to bury their sump pump discharge pipes. When you leave the pipe visible in your yard, you might trip over it or accidentally damage it with your lawn mower. Plus, from an aesthetic perspective, hiding the discharge line underground looks nicer than leaving it out in the open. Before burying a sump pump pipe, review your local building codes to make sure your installation is compliant.

Yes, you can finish a basement that leaks, as long as you address the leak first. Before finishing a basement, you’ll need to repair any cracks in the walls and waterproof the basement to prevent future leaks. It’s much harder to clean up a water leak from a finished basement than an unfinished one, so preemptively addressing any leaking areas prevents expensive repairs in the future.

Yes, many modern water pumps are designed with energy efficiency in mind. Look for pumps with high efficiency ratings or those with an Energy Star certification. These pumps consume less power and can reduce your utility bills. Additionally, variable-speed pumps are more efficient since they can adjust the flow based on demand, providing significant savings over time.

In most cases, standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover damage from a sump pump failure or overflow. Coverage for water damage is often limited to sudden, unexpected events like a burst pipe that was not caused by negligence. To be covered for sump pump issues, you will likely need to purchase a specific rider, endorsement, or additional water backup insurance. If your insurer offers this type of coverage, they may require proof that your sump pump is regularly maintained.

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.
