"I read the reviews and then contacted Gary for a bid on a driveway paving project. Gary was professional and courteous from the beginning and I really appreciate his customer service approach. As well, Garyâ s entire crew were courteous, professional, and very efficient in their work. We are very happy with the results."

"I’m a Paving contractor myself in another state, but I had a customer of mine on an apartment complex research these guys hired them to do the work for me for my customer, they did an awesome job doing above and beyond. I’m a contractor myself in the same industry, and I know the steps they took to do a perfect job for my customer"

"Adam with Iron Mountain Excavation was so easy to work with. His knowledge and years in business show in all aspects of the project. He’s got a vision that can’t be beat when looking at a raw piece of land and figuring out where to layout roads/driveways and where to place homesites. Would definitely recommend Adam and Iron Mountain Excavation to anyone looking to get dirt work, land development and logging done."

Small jobs welcome

"They got me on the schedule for the same week, and did an exceptional job while going l above and beyond what I expected. They corrected small details around my property that I would have not ever noticed without charging me additional fees. I am a first time single homebuyer and have been dealing with several contractors and quotes, often feeling overwhelmed, confused and like Iâ m getting taken advising of. . Glenn was upfront and honest with me about everything and I truly believe he gave me the same advice he would give his daughter. 10/10 would recommend; I already have him booked for several other projects!"

"Michael and his team were excellent in repairing and seal coating our extended driveway and parking area. It took a lot of time, but they all did it with excellence and did not try to skip or do 2nd hand work. They were very focused on getting the project done correctly. When it is time for the regular maintenance on the driveway we will be sure to call them first."

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Permeable paving is a good option for a lot of reasons. It can help prevent flooding, keeps harmful chemicals from polluting our water, and can divert water away from your home’s foundation. Plus, it can add a rustic aesthetic to your outdoor area, might prevent pests who breed in water, and may even qualify for tax rebates.

Yes, a paved or repaved driveway can boost your home's value by increasing its curb appeal and the functionality of your outdoor space. A new driveway can add anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000 to a property's value. An old, crumbling driveway can be a red flag for potential buyers and inspectors.

The amount of value added depends on the materials used, the design, and local market conditions. Concrete is often cited as adding the most value due to its long lifespan, though asphalt may be more desirable in colder climates. The return on investment is greatest when replacing a driveway that is in poor condition; repaving a driveway that is already in good shape will not yield as significant an increase in value.

Yes, using recycled asphalt millings is an eco-friendly alternative compared to concrete. Millings are reclaimed pieces of gravel that are recycled into aggregate that can be used on driveways, patios, walkways, basketball courts, tennis courts, and more.

The average cost to repair an asphalt driveway is around $2,459 to $2,500. However, prices can range from $100 for minor DIY crack filling to over $4,000 for more extensive professional work. Costs are often calculated per foot, with minor repairs costing $1 to $3 per linear foot and heavier damage like potholes, sinking, or crumbling costing $2 to $5 per linear foot. Patching smaller potholes can cost around $2 to $3 per square foot. The final price depends on the severity and extent of the damage, driveway design, local contractor rates, and whether sealing is included. For major repairs, it is recommended to hire a professional, and you may get a better deal by bundling repair and sealing services together.

If pavers are uneven but not sunken, lift the affected bricks and check the bedding sand underneath. In many cases, simply smoothing out or adjusting the sand is enough to level them. Add or remove small amounts as needed, then press the pavers back into place and tap them with a mallet until they sit evenly with the surrounding surface.
