Clean & Simple Cleaning Co

In March 2022 I contacted Clean & Simple to perform a move out cleaning. It was made clear that the cleaning needs to be thorough as the home was being listed for sale. They quoted 2 cleaners for 6 hours for $816 and came out in April. After the services were "completed" I went and did an inspection and found that multiple areas of the home were still dirty or not cleaned at all. I contacted Clean & Simple and sent them pictures. Susan, the manager, came out to the home and agreed this was not to their standards and she would talk to the owner, Stacie, about getting another team out to home at no cost to me. The second cleaners showed up the next day and determined they would need to reclean the entire home as well as the areas that were missed. This time, the services were provided and the home was properly cleaned. A few days later I was charged $1,645.60. I contacted Clean & Simple and the manager stated that I was billed at once for two invoices that were never sent to me. After reviewing the invoices, I spoke with the owner who very difficultly said she would refund 50% of the first services and that is it. I told her that is not acceptable, the services were not provided and should I not being paying twice for a service that was not completed. She disagreed and I told her I would dispute the remaining balance of the first services not performed with my bank. The owner never responded to the banks inquiry about the charge and instead sent me to collections in December for the non-invoiced amount of $1,359.60. I do not owe this amount nor do I know how this amount came to be.

Clean and Simple is the BEST house cleaning service I've ever had, and I've had several. I'd hire the again in a second and their people are the best---friendly, professional, and punctual.

We were very pleased with the level of professionalism and communication from this company. The place was left spotless and we were very pleased with the outcome. The stove, oven, and refrigerator were thoroughly cleaned. The rooms smelled fresh and clean. They took care to clean and disinfect the counters, cupboards, and walls. The owner of the company communicated very effectively with me before the job began as well as after the job was completed. We were extremely pleased with this company and will definitely plan to use again.

They did a fine job, on time as promised. Two man crew - American, good workers and thorough. Would recommend highly.

Despite telling them repeatedly, they cannot get their minds around the concept that there is a distinction between the yard waste bin, the garbage can, and the recycling bin.  So we are always fishing garbage out of the yard waste, garbage out of the recycling, recycling out of the garbage, or yard waste out of the recycling.  It just isn't that complicated but the cleaners never get it right.  So if you live in an area where there are fines associated with putting the wrong type of refuse in the wrong waste stream, you should choose a different cleaning service.  We've given up talking to them about this and are in the process of selecting a different service. 

The cleaning itself, it's decent, but kind of variable in quality.  Sometimes they sort of "phone it in," other times it's pretty good.  But you never know what you'll get, except that you'll have to sort through the garbage to figure out what stupid thing they've done this week.  I probably would have given them B's if they could figure out a way to get it through their heads that:

Green = yard waste
Dark Blue = recycling
Light Blue = garbage

Or they could just look in a bin and say to themselves:  "Oh, grass cuttings and leaves, that is probably yard waste, I shouldn't throw a bag of tin cans in this bin."  Like I said, it isn't complicated.

Cleaning is inconsistent.  Some crews seem to do great, others not so much.  Arrival and cleaning times are highly variable.  They've had to cancel or reschedule several times.  Also one of their crews drives a car that dripped oil/coolant all over our driveway and caused a stain.

I contracted with Clean and Simple to provide a deep cleaning for my 3300SF home.  We do a reasonably good job of vacuuming and keeping our house clean.  The work I wanted done included not just the normal dusting and vacuuming, but the deep cleaning detail work we normally just don't get around to doing, since we have 2 little kids: cleaning the window blinds and sills, vacuuming the window valances, cleaning the base boards, etc.
The estimator arrived on time, took about 20-30 minutes, and said it would take about 6 hours to complete the work, with 2 staff members doing the work.
On the day of the cleaning, 2 staff members, Courtney and Lala, arrived at 1pm and started in right away on their work.  They knew pretty early on that they wouldn't be able to be done in 6 hours, so after 4 hours we agreed another crew would come back the following day to complete the job.  Lala and EJ showed up the following day shortly after 9am, and worked for almost 7 hours straight, until the job was done.  Their attention to detail of both teams was pretty extraordinary, they were down on their hands and knees using a toothbrush to clean the base boards and trim.  They went above and beyond what was asked, and they felt bad for inconveniencing me for having to come back a 2nd day to complete their work, including tidying our kids rooms, and organized their toys and books.  My wife and I really appreciate those little touches.  Our house now looks better than ever, thanks to their hard work.  
We would not hesitate to hire Clean and Simple again, and would enthusiastically recommend them!

The cleaning professional, Tabitha, clarified my expectations and priorities.  She then started at one of the house and wrapped with getting down on hands and knees to clean my hardwood floors.  The bathrooms and the kitchen were beautifully scrubbed down, including the outside cupboards.  She dusted my entire house, including all of the wooden shades on my windows.  My entire home sparkled by the time she was done. Tabitha was a consummate professional, and inherently kind.  I would highly recommend this cleaning service to my friends and family.
