"Outstanding Experience with Roads Paving! We recently had Roads Paving install a new asphalt driveway, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The crew was professional, friendly, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Their equipment was modern and well-maintained, which showed in the smooth and high-quality finish of the driveway. The team took the time to explain each step of the process and made sure everything was completed to perfection. It’s clear they take pride in their work. Highly recommend Roads Paving to anyone looking for quality workmanship and great service!"

"Very professional and fast service. A little difficult communicating but probably more my fault than business. The price quoted was below some estimates I received but still on the high end."

"Outstanding company. Not cheap but they are totally worth it. They did beautiful winding path in our front yard 4/2019 and just completed a 70 foot long path and stairs in our back yard. Manuel was the lead guy and Holly was the sales lady. Their customer service is the best that I've encountered. They are very keen on pleasing the customer. Manuel obviously takes a lot of pride in his work. Once they start working they come every day M-F and work hard for about 8 hours. No annoying long pauses while they start another project. "A fantastic service was provided by Near Me Roofing Company. Ari was always prompt and extremely organised in providing information, tile samples and quotes for my new roof installation. He made the whole process easy to understand and provided an excellent solution to an issue I was having with my guttering. I highly recommend his services."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

If you wish to break up a cracked or broken paver for removal, you can use a hammer or mallet and a chisel to fragment the paver. As you’re working, be careful not to disturb surrounding pavers; the key is to work slowly and steadily and remove the broken pieces gently. You should also wear a mask and goggles to ensure that no dust gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth as you work.

Permeable paving is a good option for a lot of reasons. It can help prevent flooding, keeps harmful chemicals from polluting our water, and can divert water away from your home’s foundation. Plus, it can add a rustic aesthetic to your outdoor area, might prevent pests who breed in water, and may even qualify for tax rebates.

The answer to whether or not you need to get a permit before you start your driveway can vary widely based on local ordinances and the scope of your driveway ideas. In most urban and suburban areas, a permit is needed before building a new driveway to ensure that a homeowner is using safe materials and proper drainage practices while designing and constructing a new driveway. In some rural areas, a homeowner may not be required to apply for a permit. When building a new driveway on your own, always check with your local building department to see if you need to request a permit. When hiring a driveway contractor, verify that the right permits are being used before driveway construction begins.

The average cost to repair an asphalt driveway is around $2,459 to $2,500. However, prices can range from $100 for minor DIY crack filling to over $4,000 for more extensive professional work. Costs are often calculated per foot, with minor repairs costing $1 to $3 per linear foot and heavier damage like potholes, sinking, or crumbling costing $2 to $5 per linear foot. Patching smaller potholes can cost around $2 to $3 per square foot. The final price depends on the severity and extent of the damage, driveway design, local contractor rates, and whether sealing is included. For major repairs, it is recommended to hire a professional, and you may get a better deal by bundling repair and sealing services together.
