"I initially hired Travis to help hang large pictures, mirrors & drapes. He works fast, is efficient & cleans the work area of all debris. He asks great followup questions to be sure he meets the customers needs and he is an honest contractor that I've come to trust. I highly recommend him and will hire him again for a future remodeling project."

"I needed our kitchen sink faucet assembly under-counter nut tightened so the entire faucet would not rotate. I received a price quote and the repair was done quickly. Very satisfied with repairs."

"This company and its people are fantastic! The team of Bill, Jorge, and Marvin that worked on my job were great. They built a fence for me last fall and did everything just the way I wanted. It really exceeded my expectations. I had them come back recently to adjust the latch on my gate and it was done very quickly. Their customer service is top notch too and always a pleasure to speak with. They even put in a special flip up door for my robot lawn mower. Very Happy Customer!"

"Hired Paullin Builds for several jobs. New fence and repair of a section built previously by someone else. New patio railing and privacy panel. High quality work, great communication and customer service at an affordable price. I recommend them to my neighbors who have also hired them for several jobs. We reached out to several builders and even managing to get them out for a quote was difficult. Tom reached out within a week of submitting interest and was at the house within a few days to assess. An estimate followed shortly. I know this is cliche, but save yourself some time and reach out here early in your process if possible."

Local Veteran owned company providing wooden fence installs and deck repair and cleaning for residential and commercial customers. After hiring service providers myself I decided I could bring the discipline and attention to detail I learned while serving in the US Navy to the window cleaning business. We're committed both to our customers and to the community, and look forward to working with you to get your home or business looking great. As long as there's daylight, we'll be working, so give us a call today!

"The projects were completed exactly as I wanted. I am in the process of selling my home and needed some items corrected to pass inspection. He got the work done quickly and neatly and now my home can be sold on time. He was very personable and I will be recommending him to my realtor for others to use who have a similar list of multiple handyman projects around the house. I will also recommend him to friends who just need help around their homes. His price was very reasonable."

Customers say: Quick response

"Awesome finish work to our tiny remote cabin! Ryan and crew installed our LVP flooring in just a few hours. He kept us up to date on the project with text and pictures, super helpful since we live in Seattle and had to work. His crew kept the construction site clean and the vendor he used for our cedar interior work was meticulous. Thanks Ryan!"

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

You can enclose an open carport, however, there are several things to consider before opting to do so. You'll want to check local building codes and permit requirements before proceeding to make sure it’s legal. While you can sometimes stick-frame a carport enclosure, pre-fab kits are also available. Remember that you'll likely need to meet concrete slab regulations and provide lighting inside the structure. Both of which could substantially drive up costs.

New builds, remodels, and additions often necessitate professional framing expertise.

House framing can be expensive because the materials are pricey, and the job requires a high level of expertise. The more complex the plans, the more expensive the job, but even the most basic frame needs to be installed with high-quality materials and precision. When pricing your home’s framework, remember that a sturdy frame is necessary to create a safe structure.

Most of the time, you’ll want to use screws on your subfloor rather than nails. Nails can actually weaken plywood, whereas screws can easily penetrate without damage. They also form a more secure connection because of their shape, preventing squeaky floors and tightly holding the subfloor in place. That said, some contractors do prefer nails depending on the type of floor covering because they allow for more flexibility.

It’s best to use two screws to secure deck boards into every joist. Securing the boards to every joist makes the deck more structurally sound, while using two screws on the outer sides of the boards can help prevent warping and cupping.
