"Overall, my experience was very good. The person who helped me with my quote was responsive and personable. We did have some communication issues regarding some of the items we wanted moved. We crews that helped us with the physical move worked very hard and provided solutions when issues came up. The single recommendation I could provide to anyone is be 100% sure everything you want to move is on the digital inventory at least 5 days before moving day. The day of the move, I found things were missing on the digital inventory even though we talked about it."

"Terrible, they came highly recommend and I was in tears by the end of the move. They were over an hour late and did not call to notify me they were running late. They got grease all over my couch and mattress to the point that they are ruined. The scratches several walls, doors, and decking. They were NOT equipped to move the safe although they told me they do it all the time. My beautiful hardwood floors have several deep scratches in them from they way they moved in the safe. Terrible experience and will never use them or recommend them. They also did not wear masks and used very foul language. Very unprofessional."

Customers say: True professional

"The movers were friendly, careful, professional, and very skilled. They watched out for our furniture, our house, and their own safety. The marble table move was a tough challenge. But they did it flawlessly. It was an amazing, wonderful and stress free experience. We will call them first for any moving needs next time. Communication before, durning, and after the project was timely and professional! Thank you to Tanner, Neil, and Tory!"
It’s just what we do.
Even though they were replacing the flooring we still weren’t going to take the chance of scratching or grooving it!

Small jobs welcome

"Moving can be a stressful experience but from my first interaction with the sales person through to the time the movers left my new driveway they did everything to make me feel at ease. The 4 professionals from United Prime Van Lines crews that moved my home were amazing -- efficient, careful, respectful and knowledgeable. They had clear processes on how best to move, load, unload and set up my new home. They worked as a team and were seamless in how they performed their tasks. Their assistance was invaluable and I can not imagine a better moving company."

"I had a great moving experience with this company. I was in a hurry to move because of my mom passing . I didn’t know where to start.I googled moving companies in the area and I came across this one. US Prime Movers have the best reasonable prices you can’t beat nowhere! They was informative about ever step. The moving process didn’t take long as I thought. Everything was wrapped and packed nicely. All of my items came as I left it . I’m astounded by the enthusiasm these guys have. They were friendly but professional at the same time. They did an superb job."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Puyallup’s frequent rain and damp winters can make moving projects challenging. Local movers recommend waterproofing boxes, using plastic wrap for upholstered furniture, and laying down non-slip mats to protect floors from mud. Scheduling your move between July and September avoids the heaviest rainfall and offers longer daylight hours, making loading and unloading safer and more efficient for both homeowners and moving companies.

Helpful?

Homes in Puyallup often have split-level or tri-level layouts, which can mean tight stairwells and sharp turns. Measure all doorways, staircases, and hallways—especially in older neighborhoods with unique floor plans. Watch for built-in shelving or low beams that could block large furniture. Noting these Puyallup-specific features early allows for better planning, such as scheduling professional movers or renting specialized moving equipment.

Helpful?

The condition of your Puyallup property directly impacts moving projects. Many homes here feature daylight basements, split-level entries, or older layouts with narrow staircases. Inspect for moss on exterior steps and check for soft spots in flooring, especially in homes with crawl spaces. Addressing these details before moving day helps local movers safely navigate tight spaces and prevents accidental property damage.

Helpful?

In Puyallup, clear moss or wet leaves from walkways to prevent slips, and temporarily remove storm doors to widen entry points. Use moving blankets or cardboard to shield floors from rain-soaked shoes. Disconnect appliances and secure loose railings on exterior steps. For heavy items or if you encounter structural issues common in older WA homes, it’s best to hire local movers for safe handling.

Helpful?

When moving in Puyallup, plan for future renovations by keeping access routes open and noting the locations of utility shut-offs and crawl space entries. Store items in a way that leaves space for potential additions like ADUs or finished basements. Before making changes, review local permit requirements and HOA guidelines to ensure your moving and storage plans won’t hinder future home improvement projects.
