"I had purchase a deal in 2014 for $109 Window Cleaning. He had called to remind me of the deal. Then charge me additional $200 on top on the deal for the window. It make it a $100 an hour for window cleaning. I thought it was too much money."

"I recently hired H&T Windows and Gutter Cleaning for window cleaning, and I couldn?t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Scheduling was easy, and they showed up right on time. The team was friendly, respectful of my home, and extremely thorough. They cleaned both the interior and exterior windows, and the difference was immediately noticeable crystal clear, streak-free glass! Even the hard-to-reach windows were spotless. No mess was left behind. If you?re looking for reliable, high quality window cleaning, I highly recommend H&T. Great value for the price and outstanding service. I?ll definitely be using them again!"

"I tried Intestate because they had great reviews. He was running a little late but communicated to me to let me know what time he would be there. James was very efficient and fast. He also used special wash that repelled dust and debris. My windows look amazingly clean. It was inexpensive and professionally done. James was very pleasant to talk with too."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, you should clean your windows and any associated fixtures and treatments every six months. Otherwise, clean them as needed to keep everything running smoothly. If you live in a part of the country with especially hard water, you may have to clean them three or four times per year, and the same goes for areas where insects, pollen, dirt, and other debris can soil your windows and potentially cause issues with the moving parts.

Most jobs take 2-8 hours, depending on the number of windows, height, and difficulty of access.

Hard water stains are caused by hard water. Hard water contains a lot of minerals, like calcium and magnesium. When water on your glass surfaces dries out, the minerals stay behind and stick to the glass. This results in a residue that looks like white cloudy or streaky spots. Call a pro to install a water softener to banish hard water problems.

It depends on the company and the services it provides. If a cleaning company is just washing the outside of the windows, the pro may only wash the glass panes. But if they’re washing the inside and outside, they most likely bundle cleaning the sill and frame into the cost. It’s best to ask before you schedule a service to see if the company will charge additional fees.

To effectively clean fine dust after construction, start by dusting high surfaces like ceiling fans, walls, and window sills, allowing the dust to settle. Then, use a vacuum with a HEPA filter on all surfaces, including furniture, carpets, and floors, making a second pass for thoroughness. Follow up by mopping hard surfaces with a damp mop to capture any lingering particles. It's also important to clean appliances, vacuum HVAC returns and supply vents, and replace the air filters. Properly ventilate the home to help clear out remaining dust, and avoid sweeping, which can spread the dust around.
