"ORGINIAL POST: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! After spending over $2,000 on pumping, inspection and camera work, I had one simple request- WAIT 30 DAYS BEFORE SUBMITTING FINDINGS TO THE COUNTY! We were trying to work the problem. I called TWICE about this and was told both times, no problem, we will wait. They submitted it this morning. Because they did not respect my wishes to wait, I now have to pay over $20,000 through the county when we had a plan in place to avoid that and get it fixed independently. Go with a company that follows instructions, not absolutely ruins your life. Thanks for the 10 year debt I will now have due to your negligence. My realtor and contractor will be referring all other agents and all clients elsewhere, and notifying them all of this unprofessional behavior. EDIT: Here's how I would have expected Serena, the office manager I spoke to today to enter the conversation: yes, you're absolutely right, we did breach agreement, how can we make it right? Here's what happened: per her: "there was a human error that was not our fault. The result would have been the same no matter what" (no it would not have and she has no way of knowing that). If you truly have nothing to hide, and know you messed up (which you admitted to) send me the phone recordings I requested not respond "we will be happy to do that upon getting subpoenaed.""

Most submersible well pumps last eight to 15 years, depending on the quality, type, and how well they’re maintained. Lower-quality submersible pumps that are poorly maintained will not last very long, but higher-quality pumps can last 15 to 25 years (or even longer). Jet pumps last eight to 10 years.

The cost to replace a well-pump motor will depend on the size, but this repair is often as costly as installing a new pump. Generally, a well-pump replacement will cost between $950 and $2,650, with an average of $1,800. Other factors like pump type and pipework will impact your final cost.

With regular servicing, a well pump usually lasts between eight and 15 years. Variables include level of usage, frequency of servicing, and pump quality. You may also be able to hire a local well pump repair service to fix your pump rather than replace it. 

However, often the cost to fix significant problems is as much as or greater than replacing the damaged pump with a new one.

The precharged pressure tank should start at around 28 psi. The two pressure settings of note are the cut-in and cut-out pressure. The well pump starts when the tank reaches the minimum cut-in pressure. It turns off when the tank reaches the maximum cut-out pressure. The desired water pressure in the household is usually a few psi above the cut-in number. The difference between the cut-in and cut-out pressure settings should be 20 psi. Typical settings for household applications include 20/40, 30/50, and 40/60.

There are many signs to look for that will tell you when your irrigation pump is burned out. This may include low water pressure, sprinklers that sputter a lot before turning on, discolored or dirty water, or a pump that stops working altogether. If your pump has any of these issues, it is probably time to replace it.
