JKA Well Drilling & Pumps

Our well was just completed. JKA Well Drilling of Monroe did an excellent job. Pierce did the initial evaluation. From the drilling, placing the casing, pump, plumbing and electric everything went smoothly. All personnel were a pleasure to deal with. The well is great thanks for everything, happy we chose them for the job.

Great guys, great company! They work well with women, without being condescending.

I was very impressed with JKA.  Pierce was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional.  It took a while before I got to talk directly to Pierce, who ended up visiting our house to estimate the work and returning on the actual project date.  Other than the initial wait, I had a great experience with JKA and would highly recommend them to anyone.  Their price was fair and they made it very easy to get the project completed quickly.  I did talk with other drillers, but JKA clearly had more experience, was able to answer my questions more thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable with the entire process.

Called Pierce at 7:30 Wednesday morning because our water had stopped working completely the night before. He answered and said he was busy getting his crew out the door and would call me back in 20-30 min. Having not dealt with JKA in the past, I wasn't sure how quickly I would get a response back. I continued my search for back up companies. Glad I didn't call anyone else. Pierce called after 30 min just like he said he would. His guys were on a small morning job and said he could send his tech. Juan after that. Communication to Juan and then to me was outstanding. Juan told me what he thought it might be based on my description of the problem. He was correct. He came when he said he would, fixed the problem, and was very courteous to my wife, baby and mother in-law. Great job guys. It is scary and a major inconvenience to not have water and JKA understood. Thanks and would highly recommend

Juan came to check out the well site, which is 450' from my house. He was not sure whether they could legally do the job as the well was more than 25 years old. I got clearance from the county, and they then came in to have another look. They were sensitive to my cost concerns, and suggested I dig the trench to save money (good idea). I also bought the pipe and wire from Home Depot to save myself from their 60% markup. They did the original work quickly and efficiently, but getting them to actually finish the job was a struggle. After the first two days, the system was in and running, but their plumbing leaked, and it took them a week to come back to fix it. Then, they'd forgotten the betonite clay seal for the well head, and the fake rock to cover the well head. That took another two weeks. I don't believe this was due to negligence, they were just too busy. Everyone I met was knowledgeable and helpful, just slow to finish the job.

A water chemistry analysis indicated our well water had significantly high manganese levels, which we wanted to minimize without using other chemicals or water softeners. In addition, we decided to replace our aging well pump and pressure tank.
Pierce at JKA talked through options with us and then helped us find a system and components that met our unique and challenging goals. In addition to installing the new well pump and tanks, JKA also set us up with an Impressions water filter system and the associated piping. In addition, they replaced some of the old copper and metal piping with new plastic piping. JKA also previously helped us install a water filtration system in our barn to remove the manganese and also the sulfur smell from the water.
Everyone was very professional. Pierce went back and forth with us numerous times as we fine tuned what we wanted. Rich, who did the majority of the actual work, did a super job and really listened to what was important to us regarding not only the functionality but also the aesthetic side of the systems. We are fairly high maintenance customers, and Rich, Pierce and Juan were always patient, understanding, and helpful. Most importantly, they did a great job for what seemed like a fair price.

I contacted this company after being let down by another company. Pierce responded the next day by coming out and reviewing the situation. He gave me an estimate and had his crew come out in just a few days as soon as the tank was available. The guys were very nice and efficient. Due to the fact that I have an existing water system that will stay in place until my house sale is complete, there have been a number of issues that have come up and JKA had always responded with the attitude that they want to keep their customer happy.

They replace our well pump, pressure tank and fittings. They were great to work with.

In the middle of the night our well controller exploded. I called JKA first thing and Pierce came out right away. He replaced the controller and inspected everything - we now have water again.

I called at 8 AM and they had pump running by afternoon. They were fast and price sensitive. They keep me posted on the status and kept to their price quote. They were a pleasure to deal with and knew their way around a well. I'd use them again.

They did a great job. He answered a lot of questions for me. He was very informative and it seemed like he really knew his business. I had some questions that were more or less unrelated to the job but we was helpful in those areas too.

They did an excellent job. They went above and beyond. They delivered exactly what they promised. My husband took care of most of the project but we are both very happy with their work.

They were here when they said they would be, they charged me what they said, they did not do anything that did not need to be done. They did not try to over charge us. We were happy with the service and the price was fair.

Very pleased when water came out of the pipes. The dogs were thirsty too.

Our well pump was running constantly and would not shut off. The water level was low in the holding tank. I looked up well companies online and found JKA Well Drilling company, then looked him up on Angie's list. He had a straight A report, so I called him. Being a Saturday evening, I expected to get a recording, but the owner of JKA Well Drilling, Pierce Kiltoff, answered right away. He came at a moments notice and diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He is a very nice young man and very professional. When I called he was on his way home from somewhere and diverted his trip home to come here and help us. I would say that is above and beyond the call of duty. He probably saved our pump from being burned up. While here he looked everything over and let us know other things that need attention. He is very experienced and knew everything about wells and our whole system. My husband was extremely impressed, and being a technical and mechanical person himself, he is good at assessing those capabilities. We will definitely have JKA Well Drilling back and highly recommend Mr. Kiltoff.

I was able to procure their services all by e-mail and phone. Sent me the completed reports via e-mail promptly. It really was a no hassle experience.
