"I had a great moving experience with this company. I was in a hurry to move because of my mom passing . I didn’t know where to start.I googled moving companies in the area and I came across this one. US Prime Movers have the best reasonable prices you can’t beat nowhere! They was informative about ever step. The moving process didn’t take long as I thought. Everything was wrapped and packed nicely. All of my items came as I left it . I’m astounded by the enthusiasm these guys have. They were friendly but professional at the same time. They did an superb job."

Moving questions, answered by experts

When planning an out-of-state move, you should aim to save enough money to cover at least two to three months of living expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and transportation. Ideally, saving for six months or more is best, especially if you don't have a job lined up. You also need to budget for the transition costs, such as a moving vehicle rental, hiring movers, and packing materials. Cross-country moves typically cost between $2,400 and $6,860. You can calculate your estimated moving costs in advance based on factors like distance, weight, and the number of bedrooms.

Knowing how much a typical long-distance move will cost is the first step in the budgeting process. Start by calling at least three local moving companies for quotes so you have a ballpark range—then you can start saving weekly. You can also start decluttering your home to reduce your truck weight and try to find donated packing supplies from local businesses or neighbors that recently moved.

You can lay a refrigerator down to move it with a lot of padding underneath, but it’s best to transport it upright to keep the cooling refrigerant and compressor oil in place. These elements can cause blockages if not given time to settle before turning the fridge on.

If you need to lay the fridge down to move it, position the fridge door hinges so that doors won’t open while moving.

Moving a kitchen cabinet can be extremely tricky for DIYers, especially if it's attached to plumbing, electrical outlets, or walls. The project requires meticulous planning, the right tools, and some muscle, not to mention a friend or two to help. While experienced do-it-yourselfers can manage it, hiring a pro is often safer to avoid damaging cabinets, countertops, or surrounding fixtures.

Since mirrors are fragile, it’s important to find an experienced moving company that can properly move fragile items. You should always consider online reviews and testimonials. If you don’t know where to start, these tips to hiring the best movers can help.
