"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"From the moment I pushed the send button, it was an exceptional experience. Within 5 minutes I had an email response to my request for carpet installation that needed to be rushed. My family relocated from living overseas and I was expecting a delivery of our ocean freight on a specific date and had already been told by 2 carpet companies the installation couldn't be done in time. I sent a desperate request via Angie's List and received a very prompt, professional & friendly email reply. Mark VanderGiessen of Haight Carpet & Interiors came out a few days later to measure and give me a bid on the carpet I chose. Mark was not only personable and knowledgable, he showed me how the measuring is done, explained the procedure and was on the phone with his carpet supplier trying to secure an order so I could get my installation completed in time. Within a few hours of his arrival, the entire order was placed and the installation was scheduled for the day I requested. Mark personally drove to Kent to pickup my carpet and arrived to meet the installers and to ensure it was going well. The installers were fast, efficient, professional and they cleaned up thoroughly. Not only did they do an exceptional job with the installation, they were extremely careful to ensure they didn't damage my newly refinished hardwoods and freshly painted walls. They put everything back where it was (including doors they had to remove) and left no trace of their work other than my beautiful new carpet. A short time after the installers left, I reviewed a follow up email from Mark to confirm all went well. I have very high standards and would not hesitate for a moment use Haight again. Having dealt with a variety of contractors over the years, I can attest to giving this vote of confidence to only a handful of them and I'm thrilled to know I have a reliable carpet & interiors company to count among them. Haight does outstanding work, but also clearly knows how to take care of their customers!"
