The workers drove nearly 60 miles to my place, appeared precisely on time, did careful work that took exactly as long as the office predicted, were pleasant, were flexible about payment types, and provided a receipt and instructions for letting the work cure to prevent leaks. The cost precisely matched the estimate I was given when I phoned for an appointment. A good experience all around. There is an associated quarry, and a trucking operation. While the price for the work was significantly more than we'd anticipated would be necessary, we were new to private road repair and maintenance and had to hope that the recommended work and charges were reasonable and advisable. With heavy trucks coming soon and the winter weather not yet over, we had to rely on the contractor's integrity and reputation in the community in hiring a contractor. Al seemed sincere and forthright in discussing progress and points at which it appeared to him that additional work might be worthwhile to us in the long run, and he was careful to check with us to get work okayed before proceeding. His crew was easy to work with, and we liked Al and the others. Al explained his professional suggestions but did not pressure us, and we approved work incrementally to the point that we paid four times what we had originally planned, repairing some deep holes, areas of poor drainage, and years of rough usage and neglect. It would have been better to reach a clearer understanding about our preference for a basic repair of the whole stretch of road rather than an excellent repair of first one section and then another. We thought we had managed this but in fact were in the position, like people buying house siding in the old days, of finding two sides completely finished and two only just started. Given our lack of expertise with roadwork, this was unfortunate but perhaps not surprising. We do not feel that the company was at fault in this. In the end, we do have a good solid repair of everything but the parking area in front of our house, are happy with the quality of the work, and feel confident that it will be long-lasting. We will also feel free to call Al for future work, and will be in a better position as consumers to negotiate what we truly need. At the time of this writing, Justice is charging $235 per 15-16-ton truckload (at least for a job like ours), compared with $840 for a single truckload of the same size charged by his nearest competitor, Ashe Construction, in Randle, WA. They were once the place to go for auto repair. We took our cars there for years for any repair we needed, and were always pleased. But around 2009-10 there was a change, with new repair men, and new people in the office. I had one of my mirror's knocked part off my car while at the grocery store. I went in, and they said that they didn't have the part, but would order it and call me when it was in. Over the next few months, I would call them every other week to find out that they couldn't find a mirror for my suburban. Like an idiot, I felt committed and stuck with them until they finally ordered and got in the part. They ordered two, so I'd have a matched set. I was fine with this. They also said they'd repair the holes left by the accident at the grocery store. Instead, it seems they went a different route. My guess is they didn't want my car sides to not match ... so they ripped the other mirror off the other side too, to leave matching holes in both sides of my car. The new mirrors were quite cheap too. But mostly, THEY PUT HOLES IN MY CAR DOOR. And charge me $350 to do it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I use Eagle Auto Repair in Forks now. Thousands of NW homeowners have trusted TerraFirma Foundation Systems to keep their homes safe, dry and stable since 2005. Nearly half of our business comes from referrals or repeat customers. We can help you too! TerraFirma is the NW expert in home foundations, basement and crawl space waterproofing, concrete leveling, and wall stabilization.
"I hired TerraFirma Foundation Systems to level my home, expecting a professional job with clear communication, but the entire experience has been incredibly disappointing and costly. From the start, I hired the company to level the floors in my home, specifically to address a nearly 3-inch dip in my kitchen area, a 13x10 room. Yet after they “completed the job,” I still have a 1.5-inch dip in the center of the kitchen, and a corner of my home/kitchen that sits half an inch higher than it should be (above 0%), creating a full inch rise from the living room to the kitchen. Now they’re saying that leveling the kitchen wasn’t included in the original scope, blaming the remaining dip on my kitchen island and fridge being “too heavy” and lacking proper support—an issue they failed to identify in the initial assessment. To properly address this problem, they’re now asking for an additional $7,500, claiming this work was never part of the original job. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, and I can’t help but feel taken advantage of. To make matters worse, I discovered that they used an uncalibrated machine during the initial leveling when installing, which raised my house over an inch more than necessary, causing significant damage that wasn’t there before. Partway through the lift, they even asked me to sign a waiver to get my house closer to 0% level, effectively absolving them of any damage caused. The technician stopped mid-lift to show me the damage that was already occurring and warned that more would likely follow if we continued. I agreed to proceed, trusting their assurances and assuming their equipment was properly calibrated. I even pointed out to the technician at the time that it did not look level, and he assured me the machine was correct. Now, they refuse to take any responsibility for the resulting damage, dismissing it as “standard” and providing terms within the contract absolving them—despite them overcorrecting the home. There were also repeated measurement discrepancies, with reports showing one reading and verbal statements/emails suggesting different levels. When I sought clarification, I received vague responses and empty apologies. After all this, and nearly $30,000 invested, my floor remains unleveled. The only resolution TerraFirma Foundation Systems has offered is for me to pay additional money to level the kitchen and to wait for the overcorrected area to “settle naturally”—a process that, according to their technician, could take anywhere from two months to ten years. I hired TerraFirma Foundation Systems to fully level my home, not to leave me with an incomplete job, inconsistent results, and vague promises. If you’re considering foundation work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere—this company has left me with extensive damage, unexpected costs, and a significant amount of frustration."

"I was contacted by Abraham Torres in the Spring of 2022 to arrange for work to be completed from a bid he submitted on October 5, 2021. The work included completing three concrete aprons, one to replace the damaged attached garage driveway apron and other two were added as an entrance and exit for the shop lean-to. We arranged to begin the work June 21, 2022. He informed me that he and 3 additional individuals would arrive that day and begin prepping and setting up forms on the job site. I discussed with him and agreed to increases in material costs and a change from rebar to wire mesh, which increased the cost to $7000. The job proposal required 4 workers to complete the project in 3-5 days. Abraham and Gabriel spent only spent 1 day prepping and 1/2 day pouring and left their father, Gabriel Sr., and Omar, the younger brother, to finish the rest of the 2nd day. They failed to complete the remaining day(s) as per the estimate. There have been several different issues associated with the marksmanship of JG7 Concrete that surfaced during this project. First, concrete was splashed on the existing adjacent concrete slab in front of the shop door as well as the lower metal shop siding and corner mouldings of the lean-to. I had to purchase Liquid Hammer for $30 to remove the dried concrete splashed on the metal siding and corner mouldings. Secondly, I discovered that either the loader of their John Deere or jackhammer had damaged the bullnose edge of my interior garage concrete. I made it quite clear to Gabriel Jr. that there was absolutely no existing damage along that bullnose edge, other than a small chip under the south moulding. I advised him to be extra careful to avoid such damage while jackhammering and removing the concrete pieces. I subsequently called Abraham to inform him of the problem and requested he repair the damage. He claimed he would do so, made arrangements on two separate occasions to complete the repair, and never did so. My wife and I postponed a trip to Redmond during the second scheduled date and he failed to show, or even call. He’s made no subsequent attempt to complete the repair. Thirdly, Abraham apparently had no plans to backfill along the edge of each concrete apron, thereby leaving the edges of each apron exposed. His younger brother, Omar, attempted to do so the second day by going to Mathews Construction and getting substandard material (filter sand with a considerable amounts of rock) to utilize as backfill. It has subsequently compacted following rain and the grass refuses to take root in the sand. I will now have to hire a landscaper to bring in proper backfill soil to properly shore up the edges of the concrete and allow for proper germination and growth of the missing grass. Lastly, the concrete aprons on my garage and lean-to entrance puddle water. The water puddles on the sections of concrete between the joints and concrete edges because the concrete is pitched away from the edges of the apron and joints toward the middle of each concrete section. Even though JG7 Concrete is now working under a current Oregon Construction Contractors Board license, it was not doing so when they began the project. After they began on June 21, 2022, I discovered their CCB license had expired, even though I had previously made payment of the required 50% of the estimated amount. If you decide to use JG7 Concrete for a concrete project, you might wish to consider the following issues. Mask existing concrete and building surfaces to ensure splattered concrete can be easily removed or be prepared to remove such concrete before it dries. Make sure any damage created by JG7 Concrete to existing concrete or buildings is repaired prior to final payment. Ensure that the project is completed in its entirety. All backfilling and replacement of grass should be completed prior to final payment. Lastly, hold JG7 Concrete to their contract commitment. They should spend the time allotted as outlined in the contract, with the stated number of individuals to complete the project without shortcuts."

FAQs for gravel driveway repair projects in North Bonneville, WA
The average cost of a gravel driveway is about $1.25 to $2 per square foot, including the cost of materials, equipment, and professional installation. For example, a 16-by-30-foot driveway costs about $1,500. Cost factors include the type of gravel, how thick the gravel is installed, the condition of the landscape, and labor costs. Overall costs will vary depending on where you live and how accessible the job site is.
Concrete can crack from general wear, improper installation, or in response to uneven support from the soil underneath. Small, thin cracks on the surface of aging concrete are usually a result of normal wear and tear, while cracks on new concrete more likely indicate a problem with installation. Larger cracks or uneven steps can signify a much more severe issue. A concrete contractor should be able to diagnose the cause and repair concrete cracks for you.
The cost to install a concrete driveway is $4 to $15per square foot on average. Your price heavily depends on your desired concrete finish and driveway size.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay an average cost of $1,900. For a driveway at double that size (400 square feet), the average price is closer to $3,800. Plain concrete is significantly more cost-effective, averaging $7 per square foot, whereas stained concrete averages around $19 per square foot.
The cost of resurfacing concrete is $6 per square foot on average, though that cost can range from $3 to $9per square foot.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay $600 to $1,800, and for a driveway that is 500 square feet, that cost averages $1,500 to $4,500. Resurfacing your driveway will give you the look and feel of a new surface without the hefty cost.
A gravel driveway should be at least 4 to 6 inches deep, depending on the soil it’s installed on. Softer soil that doesn’t drain well should have a deeper gravel driveway. Deeper gravel will mean you spend more on materials and labor, but you’ll get a more stable driveway and avoid damage that needs to be filled or graded flat again.
