"Ben had his team at our house to remove a deadly tree that had limbs hit our house during a storm and do thousands of dollars damage. Ben surveyed the challenging tree, had his guys there within days, and, within hours, the tree was taken down! It was amazing to watch! Expert people, great results and we are thrilled to start Fall and weather season with no further threats from the tree! Highly recommend Ben and his expert crew!!"

"Randy showed up when he said he would. His crew did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. I had quite a few hazard trees close to my house and shop. They were careful and efficient. He has a great small loader and stacked the logs where I asked. I asked for the branches to be stacked and they did that. I would hire them again and would recommend them to my friends. Good job, thanks and best wishes."

"Martin House owner of High Tide services came out to my property and skillfully took down a dozen trees. We had a few close to our house that were potential hazards, and several more that needed to be thinned out. Excellent work, all done in a day. On top of the 12 removed probably another dozen or more got skirted up and thinned out to prevent wind damage. He really improved the look of my property and safety. I highly recommend High Tide services to all home owners and businesses that need arbor work. Safe, effective and really a great person to work with!"

"I couldn't truthfully rate on the "value" as it's an insurance claim from a neighbor's tree breaking and landing on one of my buildings. I haven't seen a bill but looking at the job they did I could probably give them a 5 rating. To the rest, the dad, Sam, was very friendly and helpful and always answered the phone or called me immediately back if I had to leave a message. The guys that came out were extremely kind and professional. Their clean up after was great. My yard looks better than before the tree hit."

"Rubens was able to work my job in on short notice. They showed up on time and completed the sprinkler blowout in under an hour, including figuring out the zones of my irrigation system. They were pleasant to work with and patiently answered all my questions. Would definitely consider them again for this and other work."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

Unless there’s some sort of rule in your community’s homeowners’ association that requires you to remove a stump, there’s no law that says you have to take it out. If you’re not wedded to the idea of removing it, there are plenty of ways to get creative with this tree remnant. Using the stump as the medium for a wood carving or turning it into a planter are just two examples of ways to repurpose a tree stump.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

The exact answer to this question depends on which region of the country you’re talking about, but according to various tree counts, some of the most common types of trees in the United States include red maple, Douglas fir, quaking aspen, loblolly pine, and sweetgum.
