"I needed three small trees removed and was finding it difficult to have someone come out to give me an estimate. Most did not want to deal with a small job. Tree Bargain Service not only was responsive in coming out to give me an estimate, they did the work right on the spot. Their rates were more reasonable than I could have imagined. All work was complete within about 30 minutes and that was even after cleaning up. I would definitely hire them again. Thank you Jerry and Todd."

"Prompt, professional, knowledgeable, quick, efficient, tidy...impressive! What more can I say? Took down numerous damaged/diseased, trees of various species, in locations that would/could damage our electrical wires, cars, house, outbuildings or fences come the next wind storm. They also removed a mammoth fir for the neighbor (the stump measures 60" across), that had started to ruin a garage slab. Very close quarters and went smooth as can be. Highly recommend this team for any job!"

"The customer service was excellent, and I want to commend the company for their prompt response and professionalism. The irrigation system line I mentioned before was damaged due to tree roots infiltrating the pipes, causing leaks. The team quickly assessed the situation."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Permits are often required for large tree removals, especially in urban areas or for protected species, ensuring regulation compliance and neighbor safety.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large.

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

If this sounds like a good option, learn more about how to burn a tree stump before attempting it, as it does come with risks.

Yes, many services include stump grinding to eliminate tripping hazards and improve aesthetics.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.
