"We had 4 alder trees leaning over our home and Tipton arrived promptly and topped all trees, efficiently and with great care!! We could not be more pleased with the fantastic job that he did for us. Extremely professional and courteous, with fantastic work ethics.I would not hesitate one minute to hire him again. If you have any tree work or any work done by Team 1A you will NOT be disappointed. "The customer service was excellent, and I want to commend the company for their prompt response and professionalism. The irrigation system line I mentioned before was damaged due to tree roots infiltrating the pipes, causing leaks. The team quickly assessed the situation."

"I purchased this service for my daughter and son-in-law who had bought a house w/ ivy planted in the back yard. The ivy was established and beginning to take over, and there was ALLOT of it. They came and worked very hard; 40 man-hours of labor, and they pulled every last bit of it. They also back filled w/ some mulch. It looks great!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard.

Unfortunately, the complex and shallow root system of elm trees makes surrounding elm trees particularly vulnerable to DED. Early discovery is key!

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.
