"Rick's crew did a marvelous job.  After having four other companies come out and give us bids on fixing our "lagoon" in the backyard, Four Aces came up with the most logical, simplest solution for the best price.  Their solution was to install four actual drains in the yard and connect them with the drainage pipe leading to the storm sewer. It was a no brainer.  They were easy to schedule and they completed the work in half the time we expected it to take.  They were even considerate enough to work the loud stuff around my baby's nap schedule.  They had warned us that they were probably not going to be able to completely restore the lawn and landscaping, but after they were done...it looked better than before.  (I'm pretty sure someone weeded a little.)  This was still a big household project for a family on a budget, but we were so excited to see that the water did in fact drain down after the first big rainstorm.  Now every time it rains, I truly enjoy going into the backyard and seeing that the "lagoon" is gone.  They completely solved our issue."

"I contacted Dirt Pros for an estimate in late March.  He wasn't able to get out to do the estimate for almost a week, but his price was the best of the three I had (the others didn't include placement of the new sod and even with this, Erik was only slightly more with that service included).  His crew showed up on time, performed the work quickly, and remained within budget.  My yard now looks great thanks to the work he performed.  I wanted to install a sprinkler system myself between the time the old grass was removed and the new sod was installed, and he was very accommodating with that. A few days after I had completed the sprinklers, he was there at 7am laying the sod.  He and his guys were very professional, performed very good quality work, and did a good job of cleaning up after they were done.  I'd do business with him again."

"Andrew and his team did a kitchen renovation after water damage. Great, clear communication at every step of the way. A contractor friend looked over their work for us and was impressed with the attention to detail. Andrew was persistent with the insurance company and provided tons of documentation of damaged materials. We added on some upgrades and additional projects - these had competitive prices and clear billing."

"I had already removed cabinets and sheetrock from wall, so it was all open. A lot of smoke and mess, from cutting old pipes. Plumber could have warned me so I could have got some air going through house. He was done in under an hour, $565. After seeing it done, I could have done it myself with about $15 in parts.

"Right before Thanksgiving we detected a leak from our upstairs toilet between our floors; and our dishwasher died. I contacted AWP through their web site; the response and scheduling were prompt. Vlad showed up on time, listened, understood the issue, explained what he was going to do then carefully fixed it. Later that day, the Home Depot crew came in to install our new dishwasher and could not complete the job. Vlad was back later that day - on a Friday - and took charge. As calm and unflappable as the first time he took care of doing everything just right. I would definitely hire AWP again. Very few professionals I have dealt with project and deliver such peace of mind."

"They did a free estimate and came as scheduled. I provided the fixture and they charged $275 to install it in a pedestal sink. I would definitely hire them again and I have already recommend them to others."

"I called Hagee this morning at 815 am and at 2.30 the same afternoon the sink is working, the clog gone, and the kitchen is all cleaned up.  Caleb did an amazing job fixing everything up, plus he cleaned up the space and corrected my husband's slight plumbing error.   Caleb let me know he was on his way, and then left me with his business card should we need anything else.

He highly recommended the hydro clean, and I am planning to schedule that sooner rather than later.  Everyone I spoke with at Hagee was fabulous.  Thank you Caleb and Hagee team.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
