Interior design, consulting remodeling Residential remodeling interior spaces Space planning, furniture selections Art, decor, custom window treatments Full service design, consulting company Liscenced and bonded general contractor To take the head ache away from clients And make there dream home a reality. From design phase through construction Completion. Available for weekends or after hr by appointment.

"The beginning of our remodel started out smooth in terms of diagrams and estimates, until it came to actually starting the job. The actual materials he ordered were incorrect both in amount and even type for the job (the subcontractors he hired to actually do the work were short on materials multiple times, completely wrong materials were ordered and used which had to be replaced) pushing the project 2 weeks out. Both myself and the subcontractors had to go out and purchase materials out of our pockets to keep the job going semi smoothly. It seemed almost every day there was an issue. We have a signed contract and signed invoice with balance due...and he tried to charge 4 times what was owed due to "extra materials" and labor that was HIS error, not ours. There was no communication on increase of price throughout the whole project until the final completed day of the job when he handed us the increased invoice asking for payment. He also tried to add mileage/travel time of close to $2,000 due to coming from Port Angeles. If you are in Kitsap County, or anywhere for that matter...there are many reasons, one of which is charging mileage...to not use his services. The quality was great, because he didnt do the actual work...he hired a separate company to do it and they were amazing. If you want a project to not be finished on time, with lack of materials, poor communication and end up being charged THOUSANDS more than agreed/signed upon, this is your guy!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Now that you know the true pleasure of a squeaky-clean floor, you’re probably wondering how to keep floors clean between mop days. Here are the best tips to keep your floor looking spotless:

  • Give floors a quick daily swipe with a microfiber mop.

  • Keep a spray bottle of your cleaning solution on hand to use as needed.

  • Sweep daily and vacuum once or twice a week.

  • Clean up spills and messes as soon as they happen.

  • Place a doormat at each entrance to your home to reduce mud tracking.

  • Consider enforcing a “no shoes inside” policy.

  • Wash your pet’s paws before letting them back inside.

The cost to put wooden flooring in an attic can run a wide range. Carpeting can cost as little as $1 per square foot, or even less if you opt for unfinished flooring types like rubber or painted plywood. On the high end, hardwood floors might cost as much as $45 dollars per square foot. For a previously unused space, you’ll probably need to add a subfloor which usually costs about $5 per square foot.

To prep a floor for painting, start by sweeping and cleaning any loose debris that could puncture the protective material. Take out as much furniture as possible. Then lay plastic, canvas, rosin paper, or masonite sheets across the room, securing them at the edges with masking tape. Plan your painting so that you minimize the chances you’ll step in and track any splatters.

Dry rot or severe water damage may warrant a replacement, but you don’t always need to replace damaged subflooring. If your subfloor has warped because it was installed incorrectly, you can sometimes shim the panels (in other words, add a thin, wedge-shaped piece of wood to level the surface). If your subfloor bows upward, you may be able to sand it down at the joist so it’s level, depending on the extent of the damage.

Not all attic floors are created equal—size, layout, and square footage often vary. The amount of weight an attic floor can hold depends on several factors including the joist size and position, any structural supports or subfloors, and the original intent of the attic design. Without structural reinforcement, your floor might only be able to support about 10 pounds per square foot of floor load before collapsing.
