I used a wonderful service called Green Wagon Cleaning for over a decade (since 2012). Sparking Homes took over the business over in 2023, and the service degraded. You must avoid Sparkling Homes at all costs. I unabashedly leave this review given how awful the service is, with the hopes you never have to deal with them. This is just a list of issues that occurred over TWO MONTHS of working with Victoria (owner) and Charlene (manager) after every visit to resolve: 1) kitchen, bathroom, and other trash cans were repeatedly emptied in the recycling bins—this is illegal in Seattle and just plain dumb when the trash dumpster is right next to it and all bins are clearly marked; 2) the crew worked for half the paid-for time (worked for 28 minutes, I paid for an hour); 3) showed up an hour early and unannounced two weeks in a row—a nightmare when you’re on a video call and someone unexpectedly walked into the room; 4) bed was made but they couldn’t be bothered to tuck in the sheets or put on all of the blankets; 5) a box marked “Don’t Toss – Keep” was thrown out; and 6) conspicuous trash cans aren’t emptied. I don’t have unfair expectations, and I worked in earnest with Victoria and Charlene over the course of four weeks, effectively giving them four chances to meet basic housekeeping responsibilities. Each time they apologized but then failed to deliver week after week. Avoid Sparkling Homes at all costs and look elsewhere.

If there was an option for a NO STAR review, this scam operation would earn it. From the initial contact with this place they began lying. After the single person showed up to clean instead of two we started complaining. We stopped in to checkup on the cleaner and found her doing laps in the home, after 9 hours on a quoted 8 hour job, they hadn't finished a single room. Unless you want to pay for a person to go from room to room for hours on end without actually cleaning the rooms go elsewhere. By the time we threw them out of the house we were 11 hours in to the cleaning and the house was no where near finished. The whole time were in constant contact with office manager and the owner Victoria, expressing our concerns. We decided to talk the next morning and come to some sort of agreeable resolution, so naturally she ran our credit card immediately, at 9 o'clock at night, and mysteriously became very hard to get a hold of. After countless attempts to communicate she continues to babble about some some miscommunication when there was none. This is a classic example of a business that gets all the info they need to get paid and fails to deliver on the promised service. There are plenty of honest cleaners who do the work they are paid to do, this is not on of them. Keep looking.

They were responsive and set up the appointment within two weeks. Unfortunately the cleaner was over an hour late arriving. Once she got started she was great. I was surprised several times with how clean she was able to get each room (of course this means I didn't realize how dirty it was) At one point I came into the kitchen to find her on the countertop cleaning the top of the pot rack. I guarantee that has not been cleaned in 8 years. Despite the false start i was very impressed. 5/5 I will hire again.

I use Sparkling Home for bi-weekly cleaning service. The quality of service has been spotty. When I complained about a particularly bad clean, they were responsive and came out the next day to resolve the issue. I don’t feel there quality is top notch.

One worker comes out and spends 4 to 5 hours to clean. They come out every couple months.

It went really well. I wanted to first comment that I was so impressed with communication. Within an hour of purchasing the deal on Angies List, Sparkling homes called me to schedule an appointment. I didn't have to chase them down and leave lots of messages. They got me in really quickly. The actual work was done very well. The girl that came didn't talk a whole lot, but it's not like I expected her to be my best friend, so I was fine with it. She did all the things I asked for and did them well. She didn't clean my office, but I assume that's because I was there and working, and that she didn't want to disturb me. I'm very happy and would use Sparkling Homes again.

The project with Sparkling Homes turned out fine. They did well. I used them for a few months and then cancelled them. They weren't bad but they weren't great. I think it was the products that they used. You know, usually when you clean a house really well it smells clean, and there was no clean smell. You know, but I think they did a good job. I think the products they used could've been a little bit better. The price was fair. They were very responsive. Their punctuality was fine. I think their professionalism was fine.
