We want all 5's on our customer surveys and want to make sure you know that before we start. When it comes to drying a water damage, we can get it dry in 1 or 2 days where all of our competition takes 3 days to 2 weeks. Where dreams are restored!

You can buff your floors yourself if you have plenty of time, patience, and know-how. This intermediate-level DIY project requires either buying or renting a floor buffer and purchasing a buffing solution. To ensure this job is done correctly without damaging your floors, consider hiring a professional floor buffer and polisher instead. You might save money on labor costs by DIYing this project, but you could spend more on repairs if not done correctly.

Steam mopping might be better than regular mopping if you don’t use the right cleaning products or properly rinse or wring out the mop head. However, if you use the right techniques, regular mopping also sanitizes effectively—even if it takes more effort. Plus, you know you can use a regular mop on any flooring—including to clean laminate floors or hardwood, which don’t do well with steam cleaning.

If you’re cleaning or repairing laminate floors, avoid anything abrasive like heavy-grit sandpaper or steel wool. Because the image layer is protected by a topcoat, the image layer is more vulnerable to scratches and damage if the topcoat is damaged.
