From start to finish it went smoothly. From the first call Steve came out and gave me a bid. I got 2 bids on the job and went with Black Forest because I felt they had the knowledge, were professional and their time was scheduled and organized.

I received reminder phone calls before the apt and the installers were either early or on time all 3 days. I expected much more dust from refinishing and their was just barely a dusting like you might get from not dusting for 2 weeks. I had the oil base finish 3 coats and the only thing I would let someone know is that the smell lasts awhile. It's been a week and it's still pretty strong but not their fault. Just an fyi.

This company is excellent.  They had the lowest estimate of three companies I interviewed and provided an estimate.  
This company arrived when they said they would, and did an excellent job.  The finish is beautiful, knots in the flooring were filled, and a water damaged area by the back door showed no damage after they completed their refinishing. There was almost no dust.  The final finish required 3 applications.  There was minimal odor from the finishing solution. They showed up when they said they would and completed the work on time.  My bill was the same as the estimate.  I am extremely pleased with this company and would highly recommend it.

I have seen the results and am considering using this company to re-finish the floors in my home.  Their work is exceptional.

When we bought our home in 2006 the entry, dining room, and kitchen floor were a heavy hardwood floor with hob nails. the floor at the time was 26 years old, and the kitchen floor had faded from a warm brown to a dull grey. I called Black Forest Floors to see of they could do anything. Luckily for us, no wax had ever been used on the floor. We were told they could re-stain the floor all to match and then urethane to protect it. The floor turned out beautiful and looked better than new. After almost 10 years it was time to touch up the floors. Black Forest came back and did a great job of touching up the spots that needed it. In fact, the floor looks even better and richer. The floor is now 36 years old and looks better than new. Black Forest did a great job in 2006 and even a better job in2015.
I would recommend Black Forest Floors to anyone that needs flooring, whether you need a new floor or need your floor reconditioned. Black Forest Floor is the company to call

Went with Steve because his price was very fair and after meeting him knew he was a pro. I was right. We left town during the drying process and came back to find out that neighbors left footprints on the finish. With no questions and smileys they came right back the following morning and you can't see the prints today. Friendly service and great job.

Very professional to work with, best price I could find and I had several estimates.  Clean, beautiful floors when finished.  Everyone was quick to communicate and great to work with.  I would highly recommend Black Forest to anyone wanting work done to their hardwood floors.

Excellent job.  Steve and Ray were extremely professional.  They were on time, completed the floors on time and as agreed and moved the furniture back in place.  Excellent job.  They took care to protect our home and always cleaned up after each day.  Their price was much more competitive than the big carpet/flooring companies.  Highly recommended!

This company preformed MAGIC on our floors!!  We had old growth Fir floors upstairs that had sustained years of abuse before we bought the house. Paint, carpet glue, then carpet tack strips and staples all over.  There was also an open staircase and a back staircase with many steps in bad shape!   We knew what was under that mess was worth it, so we started the bidding process for refinishing.  One bidder acted like it was just going to be too hard of a job, he just shook his head when he saw them.   The second bidder said  he wanted to send someone to test just what was on the floors to see if they could do it. 

I was getting really nervous that no one would be able to restore them, and I hate carpet!!  For our third bid, Steve from Blackforest just looked at them and acted like it was no big deal!!  Third time was an absolute charm!!  I don't think I could convey what shape they were in, and now everyone oohs and aahhs about them! They are just beautiful and gleaming!!!
