The Great Wide Open has an excellent reputation building in San Juan County for the past six years, almost exclusively on Henry Island. My work there has been for a small community of friends and neighbors I’ve known most of my life, where honesty and professionalism is vital to my business. Recently moving to San Juan Island I'm now open to work other than on Henry. I specialize in unique builds including saunas, decks, outdoor furniture, and gardens constructed with locally reclaimed lumber, but am no stranger to new construction. I also remodel decks, roofs, and outbuildings, and enjoy building walking paths through beautiful forests. Interested to hear what you need built!
"I live in, and was primary owner / builder on a remodel addition to an old 1970’s A-frame on Henry Island near Roche Harbor. Brian was on time, focused eager to work and stay late if needed. He brought a huge amount to the table on this very tricky custom build. He did an awsome job in all respects. And was a pleasure to work with. He listened to what my vision was, offered suggestions for design, and was critical in executing the project. I trust Brian to get the job done right no matter how “custom” or complicated a design or location."
