"If I could give this shop a zero I would!!! I took my vehicle to Hill Auto body and towing to be repaired after an accident caused by another driver. After over a month (close to 6/7 weeks) of Hill Auto Body "FIXING" my vehicle, several weeks without even a rental car due to the excessive amount of time it took for Hill Auto Body to "repair" my car, I found that Not only was the work sub-par, it was visibly noticable that the entire front of the car was crooked and botched. After taking my vehicle back several times and being treated as if I were a stupid incompetent female that knew nothing about my vehicle mechanically or what I should expect when having body work done. Each time all my concerns were ignored or an excuse was provided. I then took my vehicle for a second opinion. Leifs Auto repair took one look at my vehicle and told me my car was not right. After getting another estimate I found out that Not only did Hill Auto Body and towing bill the insurance company for repairs they never preformed, they also decided to repair previously damaged parts but they billed for "NEW" parts that were NEVER ordered, paid for or used in the so called repair. In the end the insurance company found my vehicle to be a total loss. And I still have all the statements, records, estimates etc from all companies that were involved in the settlement of my vehicle. I would not ever recommend this shop to ANYONE and I would suggest that if you have had this shop preform repairs it would be wise to get your vehicle looked over by a reputable business to make sure you weren't scammed and quite possibly be driving yourself, children, family or friends around in a dangerous vehicle!!! Shame on you George Hill and Hill Auto Body for your lack of pride, faulty workmanship and fraudulent practices!!"

Beacon Plumbing is a plumbing company originally established to serve the city of Kent, Washington "known for its slogan - stop freakin'...call beacon" & its ads with "Marshawn Lynch". Beacon Plumbing was founded by Bill Cahill in 1999 with 1 employee and his son, and was named Beacon Plumbing Heating & Mechanical, Inc. for much of its history. Based in Kent, Washington Beacon Plumbing has now has over 50 employees and has served over 100,000 households, making it one of the largest plumbing companies in Washington. Bill Cahill is the current President and Owner.

"*** BEWARE, GROSSLY OVERCHARGES••• I have a condo in Seattle that my daughter lives in. We had a need to have a toilet reinstalled along with a washer & Dryer that needed to be hooked back up. I live in California and she was unable to do this work herself. I told her to call a plumber and I’d take care of the charges. My daughter had my permission to use my card to pay for the service. She was in a nearby town doing an opening of a new restaurant and was unable to be there and called Beacon to do the work. The tech sent over a docusign which she filled out and provided payment. Afterwards, my daughter sent me a copy of their invoice. It mention the need for some newer parts (hammer arrestors, braided hoses, wax ring and bolts for the toilet. Cost of parts when I priced them out through Lowe’s was roughly $120. They charged my card (my daughter approved it because she didn’t know any better). $2772 for the work. That equates to roughly $2300 in labor for something that should have been fixed in an hour. A very expensive lesson learned for my daughter and myself. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Obviously, had I seen the quote, I would have refused the job. Their response- Jeff, It is actually a contract. Beacon does not offer unearned discounts when the proper prices are charged. Even when reviews are left that is clearly trying to damage the company, are untrue. We are declining to offer an unearned discount at this time. Mark J Sr Mgr Beacon Plumbing, Heating, Electrical & Mech. Inc My response- Well, I never disputed whether it was a contract. My daughter did sign the contract. When I first contacted you I acknowledged such, and my review clearly stated that she signed for it. What your company calls ‘proper prices’ are outrageous. If you have children or grandchildren, I hope they’re never taken advantage of the way my daughter was. I have the money and means to cover the cost, again that was never the issue. Your company is lying if you think I wasn’t truthful in my review. It happened 100% the way I listed. Was the review meant to get your attention, and if it were to damage your reputation, that’s solely based on your company’s ethics, because nothing was untrue."

Stone and Gravel questions, answered by experts

Yes, brick should be clean before staining to ensure the best results. Dirt, dust, mold, mildew, and other substances on the brick can prevent the stain from properly adhering to it. Thoroughly cleaning the brick allows the stain to penetrate and bond to the surface more effectively. Cleaning typically involves using a pressure washer or a stiff brush with mild detergent. However, stubborn residue may require a specialized masonry cleaner.

Yes, but used or reclaimed bricks can be more brittle, cracked, or uneven than new bricks, so they’re harder to cut cleanly by hand. For that reason, you should take extra care when scoring and striking, and expect a higher chance of breakage. If a brick feels especially fragile, score deeper before attempting to split it.

There are tons of paint colors to choose from for your brick house, but here are some great choices you should consider. Different shades of white can add a modern vibe. Instead of a bright white, try off-white or cream-white.

If you’re not into the idea of a white house, then you might go the opposite route and go with a matte black tone. Black painted brick houses have their own contemporary aesthetic that might fit your vision.

Additionally, some great barndominium colors include gray, blue, and sage green.

Yes, you can paint stone on the exterior of a house. It’s important to properly prep the stone by cleaning off dirt and debris. You’ll want to apply at least two coats of paint to get the most even and complete coverage. Any pinholes or missed spots, however small, can allow moisture to get into the masonry and potentially cause the paint to blister and peel from the stone.

In certain cases, such as when dealing with surfaces like concrete rather than brick, grout can be used instead of mortar. Grout tends to be more convenient to work with on non-masonry surfaces. However, many experts suggest using mortar whenever possible, as it provides stronger adherence to the bricks and results in a more textured appearance.
