"This customer contracted to have us dig out a space for a small garage/shop. We did the initial work at the agreed upon price. The general contractor then came to the job and requested the owner remove all material back another 4 to 6 feet from the building edge for safety. It was extremely rocky and dangerous for them to work. This more than doubled the work and the rocky material that had to be hauled away and disposed of. Also, this extra digging required a very large tree that had to be removed for safety and that also had to be cleaned up and hauled away which was extra work. We would have gladly come back and dug the power trench at no additional cost had the customer contacted us. We needed to wait until the building was built so we knew where to run the pipe. This work was performed between May of 2015 and completed in September of 2015. Customer never said a word and this is the first time we have ever heard about this issue. If he would have said something back when all this work was done, we would have gladly worked something out with him."
