Established in 2018. After being in the industry for years and with multiple companies, the owners decided to break loose from big corporations and build their own small business. After college, they took all the good and the bad they learned along the way to create Alta. The owners are brothers who were taught honesty, hard work, and serving others by their parents. They are excited to bring these traits to a business level and provide superior service to the residents of Spokane Valley.

"This company is horrible. They talked my dad into a contract promised him the world, then didn't do what they said. He tried to call them about it but couldn't get through. He went to the bank and had them cancel the payment. Visa investigated and determined that Alta was in the wrong so Alta threatened him with collections of the full contract, so he paid. Please avoid them. They also delete bad reviews in Google. The sales person put his wrong name, wrong address and created a fake email for the contract to go to. My dad only owns a mobile phone. The office when we called to complain didn't care."

We live in the beautiful Spokane Valley and enjoy all of the outdoor adventures found here. There’s so much to do like a day on the links at Painted Hills Golf Course. And don’t forget the great wineries. But we don’t like when the outdoor pests such as ants, wasps, rodents, or bed bugs decide to stroll into our house and make themselves at home. At Pointe Pest Control, with our fast, professional service, we can help you eliminate those unwanted visitors once and for all.

"I have been with Pointe for several years here in Spokane. Melissa did a great job of catching me up on interior treatments as well as the normal exterior treatments. We walked together discussing my comments and questions, so I greatly appreciated how easy she is to talk to and work with. She was patient and professional while I moved a handful of larger objects aside in the basement so she could reach the areas behind. I very much enjoyed meeting Melissa and want to thank her and Pointe Pest Control."

While your gliding down the Columbia River in your kayak or riding the waves on your wind surfer, what do you like to think about? Could it be that cold brew from White Bluff Brewing, or maybe a tasty treat from the Spudnut shop? That certainly hits the spot when you get off the river. What you don’t want to think about is your home being infested by bugs, pests, and other insects. Pointe Pest Control can help you get back to what you like to do without worrying about invaders swarming your family home.

"They were very professional and easy to work with."

"We sold the house in great condition, due in part for the 15 years AEPS serviced it. We had a service contract; never had to worry as they always came on schedule, left a report, returned if we saw even one ant months later. The children were safe as well as wild bunnies, too. Can't recommend them too highly."

"Terrible. The guy was using a broken apparatus and the liquid mix for the injections was pouring onto the ground. I suspect that, because of loosing so much of it on the grounds, the trees did not receive the dosage required. Previous 2 years, not a problem and the bugs were gone. These trees are shade to my deck. Can't get anywhere near them now and Senske will not respond to re-treating the trees. I have emailed and I have called, countless time. No response to emails and calls are always the same story - "It will take 24-48 hours to get a response". Well, it's been lots of those! NOT ANYMORE! TWO and 1/2 YEARS and they're are a train wreck. Faulty equipment, failed services (that you have PAID FOR on your AUTOPAYMENT PLAN) and you can't get a response, at all, over WEEKS. My message to Senske: Maybe y'all should stop the endless office parties and start taking care of your customers. Try answering the phones or the email system that you recommend "Many of our Clients prefer to send an email for a for a Quick Answer On The Go". You never respond to anything, actually. SENSKE SERVICES has no idea what one office is, or any area based service, is doing -- 'SENSKE MOTTO: Let's give ZERO customer response and outlook while we F-around and party while good customers become our former customers.' Looks like a good place to start a new landscape company. Somebody will."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Keeping birds away from a porch can involve a combination of strategies. Start with cleaning your porch. Remove food, debris, and plants that may be attracting feathered friends. Afterward, install physical deterrents like netting or spikes. Next, top off your porch with a decoy or two—and owl or hawk works. When wondering how to keep birds off the porch, it is always best to use humane efforts that won't harm winged creatures or the environment.

Groundhogs are non-aggressive animals that are afraid of humans. They forage for vegetation in yards and gardens, so they can often be seen as a nuisance if you spot one on your property. That said, if you happen to get bitten or scratched by a fearful groundhog, be sure to get checked by a doctor, as they could carry infections or diseases like rabies, Lyme, or the rare tularemia.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.

You can’t stay in your house while fumigating, even if it’s only one room.  When using a bug bomb or fogger in any area of your home, the entire home must be fully prepped and everyone must leave regardless of how many rooms are being fumigated. If you'll be booking a stay overnight to give your home time to air out, factor the hotel room into your total fumigation cost.

The time it will take to see results from a professional exterminator can vary depending on the type of treatment and the severity of the infestation. You may notice a reduction of ants within a few days, but it can take weeks to months for the treatment to take full effect and kill the entire colony of ants. Make sure to discuss what results you can expect with your exterminator and any post-infestation cleaning you should do after the treatment.
