Pacific NorthWest Waters \n\nLet Nature Flow ? We?ll Handle the Rest\n\nBeen doing odd jobs since I was a kid helping out friends and family with projects. Helped build a indoor/outdoor pool, 10 block high cinder block wall that lasted for about 10 years (didnt account for the offset for all the settling and weight baring on it), landscaping with dirt/gravel/rocks for leveled surfaces or for flower beds or mulch, drywall as well. Plus over the years have gained experience in pool building, tree and timber removal, some heavy equipment use such as forklifts/manlifts/tractors, Some woodworking skills, and pressure washing while on the road for the past 2 years doing semi truck stops from montana (town pump) to Jackson's gas stations in Seattle and Oregan.\n\nFair prices and a quality only matched by the professional by the one at the helm. \n\n\n\n

"I was very impressed with the work provided, and the cost was cheaper than other quotes. They did exactly as I asked and even gave me tips for trimming my Japanese maple. I look forward to working with them again!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

Lead removal services typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the extent of lead presence, the property size, and the complexity of the abatement process.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is recycling or donation, if possible. That way, the world can reduce its consumption of raw materials and the volume at which materials have to be treated and disposed of. If recycling or donation is not an option, most waste can be disposed of through landfills or incinerators, but their collection and treatment are separate from regular day-to-day waste disposal.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.
