"Brass tax: Dave did a great job and I'd hire him again tomorrow if I needed work done. I'm an investor in the Spokane market and recently bought a 4-plex that I needed parking lot work done to. Dave was quick to respond and I appreciated that he was down to earth guy who was willing to talk through some different solutions on what we could do. If I called or texted, he always got back to me in a reasonable time. During the job, he texted me photos before, during, and after the job was completed, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be reaching out to dave for future work on my properties as it comes available."

"These boys did an amazing job. Exceeded out expectations by far. We’ve had work done before by other companies and basically had to finish the job ourselves. With Trailhead, there was no extra clean up. Nothing to rake. Nothing to do but enjoy the job they did. We were so pleased that we’ve already engaged them for additional work on our property."

The old pine could no longer fend off the beetles. 2021 was a hot, dry summer and unfortunately many trees were lost. The fall zone for this large tree was tight, but with some careful preparations and precautions, the tree was successfully felled with no collateral damage.

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
